2026 FIFA World Cup qualification

Infantino and FIFA are running their hands,at this.
Stuff the people who actually go to games, the pricing referred to is par for the course in the US,charge what you want…they will come, this might be the swansong for WC in the US.
Some of the numbers $$$ may kill attendances,FIFA may look sick in the washup!

Everyone will want a halftime extravaganza after this. They’ll be wheeling out Bucks Fizz at Burton Albion.

Dollar will be looking forward to a booking.

Philly and KC are bucking the trend and refusing to raise prices for local transport and even offering some free transport wit game tickets. That means it is cheaper for a fan in NYC to travel to philly to see a game there than it is for them to get out the “NYC” games

FIFA have priced US games so high there are currently more tickets available for the US team’s opener than there are for other games in the same stadium including Iran vs NZ (that may not even go ahead), and Bosnia vs Switzerland

I think Mamdani should buy all the NY tickets and give them to homeless people and make transport free.

Never seen a sport so keen on making itself shitter.

Half time shows, VAR, 25 minutes half time, advertising breaks masked as water breaks.

They are probably just looking for ways to remove all the actual football which is the one element that they can’t monetise.

Hoping this World Cup is a failure!

I say do it.

But under FIFA rules, that would also require USA beign replaced. I suggest with Venezuala

Why Italy and not one of the other 3 teams and actually it should be the United Arab Emirates because they came third in Iran’s group and were runners up to Iraq. Iraq beat Bolivia so they probably have a better case.

Italy are far down the list.

I’ve been thinking, what would be really great is people not just boycotting/not watching but instead making a point by meeting up when games are on - everywhere in small groups, playing a bit of footy, anywhere, could be a local pitch, could just be in a park, or a backyard, whatever, bring neighbour grandma out, maybe have a drink or two, barbecue, tea whatever - and then spamming social media with content about that under some hash tag or something. Celebrating real football and rubbing it into their eyes.

It’s not going to happen, but I think it would be a lovely idea.

I’d love that. Frankly, given the choice I always go for playing rather than watching.
