Think one thread might not be enough (seeing as these things can become almost like textual commentary on livescore), with so many teams and games. Maybe do a whole section like we used to do and then one thread per group, then knockout stages, etc.

I hope they perform renditions of such footballing classics as ā€œWho ate all the piesā€, ā€œYou’re going home in a St John’s Ambulanceā€ and ā€œWoooooooh! You’re shit!ā€

Going to cross post this on the Climate Catastrophe thread.

2030 will beat that playing across three continents, maybe Saudi having to build an entire infrastructure will still probably be able to claim it’s the Greenest World Cup since 2018, assume Russia had a fair bit already in place, I know Brazil upgraded a few and built one in a rainforest or something.

So much wrong in this short video of a bloke walking from Manhattan to MetLife Stadium.

Yes, we usually do. Then, sub-section threads of each first stage group.

The quarter-final and semi-final etc. I remember one of the mods doing it a long time ago.

Who is the lad you like? Vuskovic from Spurs?

Yes.

That loan from Spurs might have been on the best Bundesliga deals of the season, key factor in saving HSV from relegation troubles. Impressive for that age in that position.

He is, I think he’ll go straight to the top.

Vuskovic and Gvardiol long term as a CB partnership sounds brilliant for us.

Didn’t expect Ancelotti to drop Pedro.

… and they will be playing Scotland. A few of our lads can meet up again.
