2026 FIFA World Cup qualification

Damn, Sweden drawing again. Might get on for the last 3 mins, or they will take the draw.

Sesko actually did something.

Bwahaha, mighty Slovenia dominated gane, won every duel, Sesko was unplayable, Oblak locked the goal, Swedes completely and utterly outplayed and outclassed. Poor lads didn’t stand a chance.

Don’t care at all except…any injuries?

At this moment nothing obvious.

Salah came off with 2 minutes left but that I assume was just one of those subs, Maca didn’t play but was on the bench.

Alisson, Konate and all the Dutch boys played a full 90 as did Robbo.

Bradley went off the same time as someone else so I assume that was just a general sub. I’ve probably missed someone. Dunno about U21s

Thanks MH :+1:t4:

Three wins more for Egypt and they are guaranteed qualification. I wonder if that would make Egypt let Salah have a rest considering that they will be calling him up for Afcon too.

Afcon clashing with the world cup us a bitch.

When is it time that the powers that be recognise that it should be held once in 4 years alongside the euros ?

They have a friendly against Tunisia tonight I’m really hoping they don’t do something really stupid.

Surprised that we are letting Mo stay out for the friendlies as well. High time that whoever we buy from Africa has some protection clauses built in.

Probably for the best that Matip stopped playing for Cameroon soon after joining us. Otherwise he wouldnt have played 50% of the matches that he did end up playing for us. Naby got fucked around with by his national team as well.

I get he wants to play for his national team. But we’re the ones who are paying his wages.

We’re not “letting” him stay for the friendlies, we have no power to control it, that’s the call of the Egyptian FA. As for the “protection clauses”, I think FIFA might have something to say about that.

Then that should be changed to protect the clubs.

It’s unbelievable that we pay Mo 350k a week and the Egyptian FA has the power to screw up his season and ours by default with a call up to a friendly.

I can understand Mo being called up to a must win match. But this is simply unfair.

I don’t agree with the rule, especially when it comes to friendlies, but FIFA are very unlikely to change a rule that will likely dilute the talent pool for international matches.

They have a match on Tuesday as well as this friendly a day after their other game. Who knows what team he puts out but it shouldn’t have Salah.

It’s got nothing to do with him staying out, the point I was making is they could be really dumb here.

Luckily the second part of that is now far less likely thanks to summer signings.

Seems like it was a reserve side, they’ve got them again on Tuesday after the next Egyptian game assume it’s just some warm up of the second squad for Afcon.

Endo played the whole match (at left back according to Flashscore), Szobolzai likewise and Kerkez came off at 80 mins with another guy so seems a planned sub.

He played centre (defensive) midfield alonsgide Kamada in Japan’s 3 at the back.
