I first read that as walking away as in disinvesting, but it appears it just means there was day to day involvement they had after the buy out they have now hired people to do allowing them both to step down from those roles

Bournemouth denied a goal against Newcastle by a, lets say generous, interpretation of the handball rule by the referee. Then their clogger of a midfielder Joelinton clotheslines the GK and gets a yellow card while Bournemouth’s manager is sent off for complaining about it
