Man City have agreed a deal to re-sign Newcastle target James Trafford from Burnley.

Just how many dimensions does this Eddie Howe Chess game have?

Looks like Newcastle are now going for Ramsdale, on the off chance someone else doesn’t gazump them again this time does anyone know if Isak has a relegation clause we could trigger next summer if they won’t sell him this year?

Ramsdale can’t find a home, can he? Poor guy goes from a new contract (I remember than announcement, too much emotion) at Arsenal, to practically a lose-lose situation at Southampton, then back at a pretty high level. Wouldn’t surprise me if he gets ditched from Newcastle pretty soon as well, once they get their shit together. Then maybe settles at a mid-table or relatively low table club. Like Henderson seems to have found Palace.

Has Pope gone somewhere or do they want someone who can save the shot if it goes at him?

We should have waited before selling Kelleher.

There are loads of teams desperate for a good keeper. We might have gotten a better price.

Pope (last season excluded) was always a good shot stopper. But he makes de gea look like prime Alisson with the ball at his feet.

Fuck knows what happened to his shot stopping the prev season. He was totally dire there

The barcodes are very badly run in the boardroom. It is as if the Saudis came in and told Amanda Stavely to run the show without providing time for the legwork to be done to get key backroom personnel.

The short lead time meant that Stavely had to panic hire an unsuitable personnel that gave you what you see today…

They had excellent back room people. But Ashworth was poached, their CEO stepped down to deal with his cancer diagnosis and as Mitchel only agreed to replace Ashworth on the agreement he would be reporting to that CEO, a long time colleague and someone he trusted, he decided to exit alongside him.

As we saw in the turbulent period after Ward stepped down, even a very well run club can find itself in a difficult situation when an unexpected loss occurs.

And their replacements do not have the time and skills to run the show…

Heard that Eales, the current CEO is still running the show while being sick and waiting for a successor…I think that is on the Board itself..

What about ewar woo war? He could be perfect for them!

Manchester evening news:

Benjamin Sesko has decided to reject Manchester United and join Newcastle United this summer, according to a report in Slovenia. The RB Leipzig striker is at the centre of a two-way transfer battle between United and Newcastle.

The irony that Manures are losing out to Newcastle on transfers.

How the mighty have fallen. Long may it continue to be.
