Fucking hell, they can’t have anything
They will rue the day, rue the day I’m telling you, when they did not sign Darwin Nunez for a good price from us.
Does Jamie Vardy have a club yet
They’re stealing transfer targets away from themselves now!
Hojlund’s still available. He might want to get out of the Prem, but going to Newcastle is the only way he’ll be playing CL football next season. He could see it as an opportunity to put himself in the shop window. And dirt cheap too, at a mere 30 million.
Fixed for accuracy
Getting embarrassed at home against Atletico. Everything coming up roses.
Looks like another target missed. Seems that even Brentford are seen as being a better option for a striker from some French club that I’ve never heard of.
Brentford and Newcastle are in talks to sign Stade Rennais’ French striker Arnaud Kalimuendo, with the Bees slightly more advanced in negotiations for the 23-year-old. (L’Equipe - in French)
Sacre Bleu, you haven’t heard of Rennes? Flobs’ head will explode!
I’ve heard of Rennes but not Rennais, but I now see they are one and the same thing.
You say you are a legalalien, I say I am a-stray-alien.
That player is just random letters left in scrabble at the bottom of the bag.
Imagine football player name scrabble… Phwooar!
From Joyce, didn’t realise Newcastle had tried for Leoni:
In what has been a theme this summer, a familiar foe also presented themselves: Newcastle United.
It is understood Eddie Howe’s side made a formal bid to Parma for Leoni but could not prevent Liverpool from getting their hands on the prize. Whether that scenario plays out with the Newcastle striker Alexander Isak remains to be seen.
Leoni’s resistance of Newcastle’s advances is, in part, because Liverpool have made clear there is a pathway into the first team for him.
Sam Allardyce now advises the Newcastle United owners on Alexander Isak issue
Story by The Mag
My kids have recently educated me on the concept of rage bait.
Newcastle United had the great pleasure of ex-Mackem Sam Allardyce, when he became custodian of our team in 2007.
Lasting one transfer window (Geremi and Mark Viduka each on £100,000 a week wages, Alan Smith, Joey Barton Cacapa…) and five months of ‘football’ on the pitch.
Sending teams out to try and get a draw. Sam Allardyce belatedly sacked in January 2008.
Maybe that’s the early days of rage bait?
Returning to August 2025.
Sam Allardyce, England’s greatest manager and in line for the Real Madrid job one day…is now advising King Eddie and the Newcastle United owners on what is the best solution with the Alexander Isak situation.
Sam Allardyce speaking to Sky Sports – 15 August 2025:
“Sell him.
“Try and find a replacement.
“Try and get the best you can and the club (Newcastle United) are going to have to pay over the odds, because everybody who wants to sell a player to Newcastle now, is going to inflate their price. If you are lucky (inflate it) by only 20 per cent. Maybe even more.
“So what was going to cost you £60million will cost you £90million now.
“So you just have to stomach it and pay for it, if the player is the right one to replace Isak, who probably won’t be as good, but certainly will make a good contribution to Newcastle.”
Sell Alexander Isak now, Sam Allardyce says…
He reckons, if a player’s value is £60million then Newcastle United will have to pay an additional 20 per cent, making the price £90million instead (according to Allardyce).
Sam’s capacity to advise the Newcastle United owners on the economics and business side of football (ED: And mathematics!), is on the same level as his managerial credentials.
A true legend.
I’m hooked on the rage bait
On the back of he being the only one who never lost a match for the national team?
On the back of him having 100% win ratio as England manager I would suspect.

Leoni’s resistance of Newcastle’s advances is, in part, because Liverpool have made clear there is a pathway into the first team for him.
Think Hughes leaked the list to Howe deliberately. If its a choice between Newcastle and Liverpool, who would they choose.
