I would honestly be elated if he did that, but I’m sure Staveley said something about being competitive in 5 years? Jose will take them forward during years 1 and 2 at significant cost and with lots of drama, then take them backwards through year 3, leaving them about 5 years behind being competitive when he does leave. Works for me. Love Jose and his mad antics!

They would actually be much better advised getting a fella who has a vision and can grow with it. Someone like Rodgers, although I expect he will be after one of the Manchester jobs when they become available.

I would think after watching the financial appreciation of clubs like Liverpool and Man City after their recent purchases, I cannot see them walking away from it any faster than Mansour would from Citeh. If nothing else, it’s a pretty new toy to dump their wealth into.

Just something I wish would happen… If they get criticized enough and called out on their politics enough , and then they do not progress much in the football matters etc… Could happen I suppose especially if they create a political situation where the UK govt is obliged to act against SA

Also Mansour is rather more business in his dealings. He is a fan of football and has invested in many clubs. With MBS , its clear cut sportwashing. You’ve got to look at their efforts in f1 and wwe to see what this is going to be lile3
