Two things:
- The players are probably bricking it
- They paid 25 million for Chris Wood???
Two things:
I think, specifically re. the ÂŁ25m, its peanuts for the club, it directly impacts one of their competitors fighting to avoid relegation, and the value of staying up in the PL is higher than the transfer fee.
Theyâve got quite a few technical strikers so to bring Wood in also gives them a plan B. Hes not a bad footballer when it comes to bug units.
Iâd also add that if they go down, Wood is probably good for a fight back up to the PL.
If he was that critical for the survival of a club, would Burnley have sold him?
They didnât have an option once the release clause waa triggered and the salary negotiations complete.
Burnley arenât in a position to give wood the same salary that newcastle would give.
Looks like they are going to sign Robin Gosens.
Thanks mate. Didnât know PL clubs have release-clauses. Anyway, how have you been, havenât seen you recently.
Doing good. Not able to spend as much time online as i would have liked though. Still lurk about and read some threads here and there though
PL teams have had release clauses in the past. Liverpool have moved beyond having release clauses after the Suarez issue.
They can fleece them for all they want.
That moment when the players realize the grim downside of being bought by KSA. Warm weather escape to the sunny Middle East fantasticâŚuntil they realize it is not Dubai any more.
Have fun in Jeddah, lads.
I read that earlier. Love how heâs saying itâs a âfootball decision for the benefit of the playersâ.
We believe you, Ed.
I believe him. It is to their benefit that they donât have their hands chopped off, so a trip to Saudi it is then!
Still canât buy a win.
Not for lack of trying ⌠buying that is.
After whatâs happened earlier today youâd think they would be seeking some good PR
What happened?
There are some private, secluded resorts for foreigners.
One of the members of this so called âcoalitionâ is Academi , formerly known as Blackwater , the US mercenary group infamous for the slaughter of 17 civilians in Baghdad , for which four guards were convicted in the U.S., but later pardoned by Trump.
