PIA is expanding not just on the physical side of football, now it is moving towards the e-sports world.
Surprised by their lack of transfer activity to be honest
Trippier and wood are hardly inspired signings.
Think they may still splash out though
Both of them should be enough for them to stave off relegation.
Thereâs burnley watford norwich everton and at a stretch leeds in there who have weaker squads come january.
The likes of Newcastle can easily trigger a release clause for some of the players at those clubs which can weaken those clubs even further.
Ye weâll see if that happens but to be honest with you I donât see them having enough at the moment to think âyes weâre 100% out of this nowâ
If I was a Newcastle fan supporting a club with an embarrassment of riches Iâd want to be able to say that come Feb 1st.
For me they need another 3 or 4 signings
Remember these guys piss all over Man City and PSG wealth combined.
So far they have signed Tripper and Wood.
Uninspiring
Depends on the clause. I would think in a majority of cases the clause is only active In the summer (at least in UK).
Well they have been rumoured to have been trying to sign a number of players from France with sizeable bids but got turned down.
City didnât go from a retirement home to signing top tier talent overnight.
They brought in Mark Hughes, dropped a pile on Robinho (who was a bit shite really), Wayne Bridge, Bellamy and that Brazilian lad who was playing in Moscow.
The recruitments so far (Howe included) are probably quite sensible.
Sad to say, but I donât see this problem going away.
The reaction to them taking over at the club has been toxic⌠maybe they just letting the sandstorm settle for a while in keeping a lid on their abundance of riches to save alienating every football fan out there even furtherâŚ
If they are determined to stay upâŚ
It only needs a close scrutiny and transfer action to stave off the challenge from the other 3 or 4 shit clubs down there amongst them⌠Saying that, I still hope these 3 sink into oblivion at the end of the season
Everton
Newcastle
Burnley
Newcastle are bad, but almost certainly not one of the worst three teams in the Prem. While there is a slight question mark, the first batch of players they get will be relatively uninspired, but able to do a job. We will see a good three evolutions of the side, maybe more, before they are challenging at the top end.
Job number one, stay in the Prem and climb a bit higher. It is not going to attract the better players, but rats like Trippier will come for the dollar.
I believe theyâve tried to sign more players but have been unsuccessful in the attempt.
Doesnât matter how much money you have, in itâs current state the club isnât particularly attractive for most players. Obviously those with release clauses and already playing for shit teams makes it easier.
But I agree I would have expected at least one Robinho type signing.
Unfortunately I think their transfer activity has been good.
Trippier is a huge upgrade. Chris Wood is a half decent striker at this level which is what they needed after Wilson getting injured, plus it basically ends Burnleyâs hopes of survival.
And Guimaraes, if heâs as good as suggested, is another massive upgrade in midfield.
Tripper is important, yeah. Helps immediately in many phases of the game, especially in possession, attacking and set-pieces.
Havenât seen much of Guimaraes, must be a pretty good deal financially for him. Donât know if heâll look forward to play in a sandwich between the likes of Joelinton and Wood. Weâll see who drops out from that midfield, I guess it could be Longstaff (heâs also out of contract in the summer).
All in all theyâre just trying for anything possible, I guess they wouldâve wanted a CB, too. Could be too late now. Individual injections, but still not a great fit together on paper. Bloody Ryan Fraser playing right wing. To think that some fans wanted him on a free from Bournemouth not long agoâŚ
Apparently they wont be getting Botman or the lad from Seville so are now going for Brighton defender Dan Burn who is 6 foot 7 and in last year of his deal.
Yeah, I thought Monchi was rubbing his hands for fresh money from EnglandâŚ
But they probably concluded that itâs too late for Sevilla to find a quick replacement, theyâre having a pretty good season, who knows whatâs possible.
Over ÂŁ100m for those 5.
I guess thatâs a forecast for their spending power in the future.
Hope they go down.
Think theyâll stay up⌠just
Burnley Watford and Everton for me
So, their current first XI could look like:
Trippier Lascelles Burn Targett
Guimaraes Shelvey Joelinton
Fraser Wood Maximin
Letâs hope they go down, imagine the money theyâll spend in the summer if they stay in the Premier League. It will be Citeh Mark 2.
