Actually rereading it, this isnt as broad as I initially mistakenly thought. Newcastle are really the only Prem club involved in these schemes who could conceivably benefit from a incoming loan deal. The rest really only have an interest in outgoing loans and so as long as the rule was written that way you cannot see any of the rest of them having any issue with it.
I got told that a few clubs had major worries in the summer when a few players Newcastle had been linked with strangly went to Saudi Neves been the prime example.
I only watched the game because I thought that Chelsea - Man City was on and because I saw the teamsheet afterwards and thought that Bournemouth might snatch a draw. Really pleased with Solankeâs performance. Also, every time I see Pope, I wonder how Southgate rates Pickford over him.
Iâm just confused why, when starting with 17 year old Lewis Miley in midfield, Howe didnât think to bring another another midfielder with him.
He had three youth players on the bench - a CB, CF and RW.
They can moan about running iut of midfielders all they want but if you donât bring one for the bench (Lewis Mileyâs older brother Jamie for example) then you seem to be limiting your own options.
Theyâre simply not that good. It shouldnât be used to diminish what they did last season because a team collectively over achieving is worthy of praise. But there should be an expectation of a reversion to the mean for several of them and that should moderate expectations on them being able to do it again this year or even improve
