Another player who has shown periods of excellence but then gets disrupted by injuries and then gets pushed down the pecking order unfortunately. Its really now down to him whether he wants to stay or leave I think. I would say that Klopp would want him around unless we receive an offer of 20mil and above which is partly because I think its only likely that an English team would want him. But if he resolves to stay and play only a squad team member, he must also show that he is willing to put in a shift and perform even when played in games like nobody wants to play, just like how Minamino did and described. I think he has been very respectful of his position in the team and I hope we get a clarity in terms of his future.

He can be as physically prepared as he likes, but if he’s staying another season he needs to get his head in the game. Looked like he had checked out well before the end this year.

We have already saved enough on wages with our outgoings. Origi, Mane, Karius, Taki, Milner on reduced, minor savings on your Ojo’s and Woodburns, etc. I am probably missing a few. No point in Ox leaving if we don’t have a suitable squad addition.

I’d see what he is like in pre season, if he is up for challenging for places great, maybe his mind is in a better place, if he isn’t we should look to sell.

Main scenario where the 5 subs help is when
- you need a goal late in the game and have good options from the bench
and
- if you have a comfortable lead
Most of our games last season have been very tight.

I think the point is that the Ox is no longer capable of pulling the cart, he’s been struggling with the plough for a couple of years and he needs to much feed so it’s time he was taken to market for slaughter.
