I thought he was excellent yesterday. It was interesting to see how when given the freedom to roam and play off Gyokeres he was actually very good in the build up phase. Which I think was the most disappointing part last season in his limited time on the pitch.
I guess his a prime example of how Slot had no clue how to get the best out of his players.
Kane gets a lot of grief here with some justification, but he really is a world class footballer who can both create for others and finish for himself. Isak against Netherlands looked remarkably similar in the way he played and how good he looked doing it. Plus, he can also press, which isnât a trait youâd associate with Kane.
No doubt in mind that Isak belongs in that top echelon of No. 9s and is perhaps the most complete player out of all of them.
