Anyway , he seems to have a troublesome agent. Hope we get Isak to get some better representation.
It was considered quite a coup when we signed him, but it was a really poorly thought out signing. He was identified as the potential replacement to an aged Hansen - someone composed and good on the ball, but he himself was already 30 by the time we signed him. He had a good first season but was never going to sustain that for long.
Itās a bit of a sliding doors moment as well as the team who had been thought were going to sign him was United. When they missed out they went and signed Pallister instead, who would marshal their defense for the next 10 years.
Gordon and Botman
Does botman come on a free next year ?
Not aware of his transfers. About 10 years before my time.
https://x.com/BenBocsak/status/1962835096370593988 He was just 17 back then and full of confidence as it looks.
What Iāve seen of isak prior to this led me to believe that heās a good lad who would be a great fit at Liverpool
I donāt know if the events of the past 2 months should make me change my belief.
For me, heās starting from scratch here. All that matters to me is how he fits in and behaves with us now. Everything else is old news, and we lack the necessary background knowledge anyway. The media has done enough to paint a picture of him, and I doubt itās all true. I prefer to form my own opinion.
Yeah if he wins a fuck load of trophies for/with us. Wonāt matter.
The parallels to Virgil transfer do ring through. Virgil stuck on with Liverpool. Hopefully this lad dedicates his peak years to us.
Upto Isak to prove his doubters wrong.
Iām not doubting his talent. But I donāt want the same old drama to repeat again.
Welcome to Liverpool!
Yeah, thatā would be the right course of action with this lad. Also, Ekitike doesnāt deserve to be dropped immediately on the bench after his brilliant start with us.
To be able to bring on Hugo, Isak or Gakpo in a match is what we need, I love Chiesa and Rio but it felt this is what we were missing on Sunday before Dom pops up.
āWelcome my gā
Something to do with gangsters.
