Isak agent provokes Newcastle with 24-word statement over record Liverpool switch

Alexander Isak’s agent Vlado Lemic has risked further fallout with Newcastle after posting a rather cryptic 24-word statement message after his client completed a British record transfer move to Liverpool on Monday.
For their part, however, Toon supporters have not taken the transfer well, sending a clear warning to Liverpool over what could happen with Isak in the future.
And now, adding to that tension, Isak’s agent has dropped a brief statement that appears to be having a dig at Newcastle after he and his client settle on Merseyside.
Lemic sent a message to talkSPORT presenter Jim White, which the Scot then read out on-air on the White and Jordan show. It read: “It’s nice when you have someone to be with, but it is even nicer when you know who you will never be with again.”

Sounds like Isak is considering suing Newcastle for defamation.
Relates to an article Luke Edwards published stating that ‘a Newcastle insider’ told him that the club felt Isak had been downing tools from April last season onwards trying to sabotage their chances of getting CL football, in order to make it easier to get a summer transfer.

It’s an astonishing piece not only for how far on a ledge he’s gone, but how it’s entirely inconsistent with the rest of his story.
We think this guy purposefully tried to sabotage our chances at the CL to make his desired exit easier to achieve. We knew that was what he was doing at the time but were still surprised when he tried to leave, and despite thinking he is a dishonest rat who cannot be trusted we tried everything we could to make him stay.

He’s got more of a case against Luke Edwards. The club can always deny making the allegation and hang Edwards out to dry.
I think the lesson is that if Newcastle is valuing Isak at 120m. They’ve got to pay him the requisite salary OR agree to let him move amicably.
