They almost certainly don’t. It can take several days for the swelling to go down enough to get images good enough to see what exactly is going on.
Second goal in league matches.
I don’t get this suspected broken leg shit.
It’s either broken or it’s not. A simple X-ray can tell you that!
Anyway it looked bad however I can not get my head around why an X-ray hasn’t been taken yet. What is wrong with them, the medical staff?
It definitely already has been taken but before they can decide on the best course of treatment. It might depend on the type of fracture, not all needs surgery so getting specialist opinion can be important. They would like these to be confirmed before making it public etc
Nope, a load of rubbish
If it’s not all the way through then sometimes not. When I had broken ribs it was finally diagnosed by ultrasound as they could see the broken bones moving. I could actually feel the broken bits moving, but it didn’t show up on X-ray.
Breaks as far as I’m concerned always show up on an X-ray. It is possible that an inexperienced radiologue doesn’t identify it but it will be there.
More likely they haven’t taken one as they are waiting to do an IRM which will also pick up ligament damage.
So for the moment it’s a suspected break.
My reaction is very general public these top sports persons live in an alternative medical world. One scan is better than multiple scans.
Obviously in the chain of finding out information, we’re the last ones. The club, media and then fans. We’ll find out, when is not that important.
After seeing the assault on Isak from the new angle, it looks even worse and the club should be as furious as I am about it. It was a disgraceful challenge and the officials should be ashamed of themselves, for not sending that thug Van der Ven off.

Broken leg…wtf was Van Der Cunt doing???
Exactly what he meant to.
The officials in the match and VAR needs to get censured for not dishing out real justice…
speaking from experience, you arent correct, my son had a small fracture in his wrist that could not be detected by an xray, and i myself had ankle issues which needed to be determined by an MRI…
i suspect where you are correct though is that whatever needed to be done had been done pretty quickly.
Ok Mr Red Radiologue
.
I think they waited to do an MRI. Which if you have access is the thing to do to have a ‘complete’ picture. They would have had a good idea of the overall picture. It’s just these internet rumours that frustrate me
.
haha @Flobs
I thought they were waiting on results….as I said the medical team knew straight away and took quick action. I guess we now know the extent of the damage and it’s as bad as speculated.
Good luck to him in his recovery.
gutted for Izak,
he showed good movement and it was a nice finish for his goal
the sort of goal to boost his confidence
hopefully he comes back stronger and more determined.
any idea how long he’ll be out for?
If they knew straight away they shouldn’t have let him walk off the pitch!
Gutted for him
