Alexander Isak (CF) Newcastle

Nope and that kind of price should be reserved for what I call top players, maybe Isak could get there with Liverpool but he isn’t that level yet and maybe injuries have stopped him achieving the same numbers?

If Eze goes to Arsenal and we don’t bring in anyone this is a 5 out of 10 window signed Wirtz good signing was he really needed when they have ignored made a right arse up of attacking options.

I would say he has the best chance to get there - hence the gamble.

$110m or $120 but not $150m, my opinion, which is worth sweet FA, is we won’t go there.

They really have slept on the attack this summer, what with the £80m spent on Ekitike, the £110m offer for Isak and that new contract for Mo.

Wtf are you on about?

Arsenal seem to have signed a striker who doesn’t appear to be any better than the one that left Coventry a few years back. There seemed to be very little change in how they performed last week. Zubimendi looked rather poor, I would say at this moment they’ve moved no closer to us. If we do buy Guehi we’ve probably had a better window. If we sell Elliott we will certainly bring someone in up front and you’ve added the dimension of Wirtz who will hopefully create more options for our forwards

Gyokeres didn’t look good agreed but Ekitike has played in 2 games Nunez looked good at first. If we don’t add a replacement for Diaz and Jota topped with looking like Harvey is off too thats a good window. All the talk at the summer was strengthen from a position of strength so far thats not happened.

Harvey would hardly be replacing in fact one player could cover all three players. Wirtz has to be considered in that. Yes we need another attacker I’m just not sold on how great Arsenal’s window was.

You could claim Zubimendi was a luxury.

The difference between Ekitike and Darwin is night and day. The former has a much better ability with the ball and to work the spaces than Darwin has ever shown. His range and consistency in finishing is also better. The only concern I have with Ekitike is how he will handle the physicality of the league over the course of the season.

Jota outside of anything forseen, but Nunez and Diaz were decisions made. So thats 3 out replaced by 1 thats strengthening to the max .

It’s being ignorant of what Wirtz is doing though.

Its still 2 games and hes become integral to the forward line two games and hes gone off and we couldn’t replace him with anywhere near like for like.

Yes, at this moment in time we could do with another forward, maybe two more, in addition to a central defender.

Judge it at the end of the window.

We don’t have to

Why waiting over a month Diaz joined Bayern on 20th July.

If we don’t buy Isak we’ll buy someone else, maybe even more than one.

Jota, Diaz and Nunez replaced by Ekitike and Isak isn’t bad considering the circumstances we’ve had to deal with this summer. Bit more from Chiesa and some game time for Rio too. Reckon only City get close to that attack in terms of quality and depth.

But you’ve not answered the point if we are signing more than 1 what we waiting for Diaz left a month ago.

Darwin,Diaz and Diogo gone for various reasons and replacing them are Ekitike,Chiesa and maybe Isak.1 short if Isak doesn’t sign which still leaves us with a forward line of Salah,Gakpo,Ekitike and Chiesa with hopefully the young lads getting a couple of opportunities here and there.
