Alexander Isak (CF) Newcastle

Yes, I also think that this will be the case. Wirtz/Chiesa will be used centrally if anything happens to Hugo.

Danns can be used in the league cup , earlier rounds of the fa cup matches as well. Isak will be great to have, but he isn’t essential.

None of them are central strikers or perform at their best there. You also move them and who covers the gap they leave?

If it’s not Isak it has to be someone else.

Chilwell was one. Not sure on the other.

I think it was Benjamin Mendy.

Poor Luke Edwards. When this all gets settled his therapy costs will be through the roof

Funny isnt it, how going for the cheaper and lower on the list target worked out really well for us.

Not always going to be the case, but reassuring that their lists have value.

He is an absolute bellend. I know Liverpool have their own journalists close to the club, but he (and Craig ‘cope’ Hope) really take client journalism to the next level.

For the first time looks like it might happen:joy: You tell yourself that, mate. The bookies do tend to suspend all betting when it looks like something ‘could’ happen.

This is the bit which made me burst out laughing.

After all the time, he and Hope have been drinking oil straight from the club. And now, This sudden backpedalling to get back what remains of their reputation.

The level of copium they are doing right now is insane.

Liverpool should stick to their valuation. No further offers. No add-ons. Newcastle thought they could fuck around with our offer to reject it. And make a big show of them rejecting it too. Ostensibly to keep Isak happy.

70m for Woltemade, 40m for Vissa. 110m from Liverpool for Isak.

If Newcastle can’t make it work on those lines, it isn’t our problem.

For ‘face saving reasons’, I expect it will be publicised that we have agreed a total price including add-ons of ~130m. It will only come out later that we’ve paid 110m (spread over 4 years) and the 20m add ons mostly are likely to not be met (eg. Ballon D’or; treble etc) but this will allow the Saudi owners to represent that they were the ‘alpha negotiators’ and ‘won the deal’.
