Alexander Isak (CF) Newcastle

Is this where we find out Fabrizio Romano originally worked at Bella Italia and every time he started the dishwasher he would press the button and say ‘Here We Go!’

Remember that bloke who was just a sad man in his flat who had the journos baffled. I assume whoever runs Indykalia now knows other journos in fact it might be the Athletic team for all we know.

Is it wrong that I’ve gone from being tempted but unsure on Isak (price & injury record bs goals and goals) to kind of hoping this doesn’t happen because I’ve fallen in love with Ekitike and don’t quite see how they fit in tue side together?

Not wrong. I kind of think that in Ekitike we might have signed the Isak from 3 years ago. That would be perfect.

But if not Isak, we do still need one more for the forward line.

Hugo can comfortably operate on the left

He was incredibly good. But if he plays every week there will be a period where he struggles and unless we have options to give him a break not being able to take him out of the firing line can have a big impact at that age and experience. It doesn’t need 150m worth of talent to deal with that though…maybe just a fit Chiesa

not wrong at all

ideally we need a gun player who can work on the right and center or left, for obvious reasons

You guys are giving that twitter account way too much importance.

It’s a person or a group making up stories to attract views.

Nothing they’ve said is something which wasn’t regurgitated from other journalists.

This whole incident has painted NUFC’s board in a very poor light. Like what you said, those ambitious and talented young players would swerve NUFC in a big way if NUFC doesn’t agree to an official release clause in their contract.

Agents talk to other agents all the time and it is not surprising Isak’s reps has chatted to other agents as well. Given by how many public rejections NUFC has despite qualifying for UCL even for the older players , it seems the reputation of NUFC in the eyes of the players and their agents has massively plummeted to a new low.

What PIF has done to NUFC is probably as damaging or even more damaging than what Mike Ashley has done to the club.

I wouldn’t be surprised if NUFC do get Nicolas Jackson and/or Yoane Wissa, there is a good chance a realistic release clause will be inserted in.

Literally I’m going off what others have said. Maybe it has been picked up for journos to have a bit of a laugh with hence Ormstein’s interaction. I’d still think it’s the KFC lad otherwise.

I believe it’s the COVID vaccine

I will repeat myself and yesterday cemented it. Isak is too much money for what he gives. Get a player who can cover across the front 3 and maybe a CM.

Better use of the £130m plus.

Wait, so Liam got punished because Mr Jones blew his nose on Tracy’s pencil case?

What a stand up guy, takinga bullet like that!

We still need another forward though even with a fit and firing Chiesa. Apart from the (dubious) Rodrygo links , is it known whether we have other options we are looking at should the Isak deal not materialise ? (And should that happen , where the fuck would that leave NUFC ? lol )

I think Liverpool are set on Isak, based on the lack of noise around an alternative, though not unusual for us.

I think it probably happens on deadline day or very close to it. I suspect Newcastle knows he’s gone, they’re just trying to fuck us about at this stage. They definitely don’t want him joining before we play each other in the league.

Personally, I’m not convinced Isak is worth the cash or the hassle, based on his fitness record rather than his ability. While I don’t believe we do, I really hope we have a back-up in mind.

Any proper evidence of that?

Other than 4 club games and 1 international U21 game in his career on the left?

Based on a title winning head coach:

“I see Hugo mainly as a No. 9 that could also play from the left or play together with another No. 9.”

Move on. I don’t like the feeling of hanging Isak out to dry but we can’t be concerned about that. That’s between him and Newcastle. The medicine might be bitter but they need to taste it.

With the extra financial cushion from not dropping £130+m on Isak at the peak of his value we could just get the Guehi deal done and direct our efforts towards a more versatile forward option, preferably aged 23 or under.

Well we have recently signed a central defender that had I think one suggested link before Joyce mentioned him last week.

So who knows what we are up to.
