I’m yet to be convinced but that’s no bad thing. Wasn’t overly confident on Sturridge or Mane and they worked out alright so im clearly no scout in the making.
Intrigued about this clause and how much “way less than £65m” than that fee it might be. There’s been talk of it not being your traditional release clause but clearly there’s something in his contract that allows him to go, perhaps only to certain clubs, for some kind of pre-agreed cost.
That new deal signed before the world cup looks to have just been to ensure Brighton got a fee for him but with some kind of get out clauses so he could get the move he wanted.
Kind of don’t want him getting the number 10 shirt though…

Give him #8. It’s the position he will play, he should be able to carry it and we “need” a bit of positivity with that number after Keita.

Dunno, feel like it’s an attackers number. Completely irrational I know but give that to Jota, Diaz, Nunez or Gakpo. Not the most important thing to sort this summer I grant you.
