I agree
Didnāt do him much good putting himself forward like this did itā¦!!!
Thatās a minimum of 3 weeks out. Oh joy!
I have to ask the question. How does a goalkeeper get a hamstring injury?
Itās an unfunny joke now.
Think we need to start asking Achterberg some questions againā¦!!
Letās hope the deal to buy him from Roma included add ons related to appearancesā¦ cha ching.
Well see this thread again at Xmas.
Werenāt there like 2-3 situations where he had to sprint out of his box against Brighton? I bet thatās where it happened.
And then you have to ask if he had a proper warm up / stretch before the game and before the second half.
Not enough regeneration + the cold weather does the rest.
JĆ¼rgen Klopp has provided an update on the fitness issue that ruled Alisson Becker out of tonightās Champions League clash with AFC Ajax.
The Brazilian goalkeeper is sidelined due to a hamstring injury, meaning Caoimhin Kelleher makes his European debut for the Reds.
Speaking to BT Sport pre-match, Klopp also admitted Alisson was likely to miss the weekendās Premier League match with Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The boss said: "So itās not COVID, I think itās something we have to mention when itās not the case ā and itās not the case.
āHe told us after the game that he felt in the 60, 70th minute of the last game his hamstring. [We] did a scan, itās a little one but enough for today and probably for another week.
āWe donāt know exactly, we have to wait and Iāve never heard about a hamstring is only four or five days, so 10 to 14 days I think.
āThen we had to make the decision: Queev or Adrian. And Queev, I know him pretty much five years, four years for sure ā Iām not sure when he came to the first team, training with us and stuff like this.
āHeās just improving and improving and improving and heās a football-playing goalie, good shot-stopper, which is obviously the most important thing. My job is to make decisions and I did that.ā
Oh
Dear
God.
at the rate weāre going we might have to ask VvD tostep into goal with a cast on his leg.
Hopefully this is just a sign of Liverpool being more open, might make Spurs if thatās the case.
Just hope it isā¦ anyhow anyone read that as Adrian isnāt very good so we are going try someone who can play with his feet and stop shots.
Ox poop?
Well, heās got to do something.
What Klopp said was that in the 60th min of the last game he felt a twinge as he sprinted for the ball as a sweeper he will do almost as much sprinting as the FBs and remember he played a lot of games lately. But it was more of a pull than a tear hence the short time he is going to be out JK reckons he might be back for the Fulham game. I didnāt see the selection of Kelleher coming but he grasped his chance and might have just gazumped Adrian to second choice GK
Plus we have the luck of the Irish with us now
