The city game doesnât change the fact that Alisson is much better than Ederson.

Without the rose tinted glasses Alisson not performing at the same level as city keeper. Itâs easy to say we have the best keeper the best cbs the best midfield and the best front 3.
Not at the minute, but Alisson is still the better keeper.

Not sure about that or how you quantify it either. Just from watching football my opinion is Ederson is better with his feet and his distribution seems better to me. Alisson is maybe the slightly better shotstopper but itâs marginal I think.
Ali is certainly the best keeper weâve had for years regardless of his current form or recent mistakes.
Itâs not slightly when comes to shot stopping and theyâre about even on distribution.

Theyâre not even on distribution, Ederson is far better with his feet than Alisson. If the stats say otherwise thatâs indicative of poor statistical analysis.
Alisson is a much better goalkeeper when it comes to more traditional stuff like commanding his box and making saves, recent poor form aside.

Ederson is more adventurous with the ball. Heâll try things more creatively and be fancier with his footwork. Alisson will try and release the ball quickly and create simple counter attack opportunities and heâs not as silky with his footwork. But on a very simple level theyâre the two most accurate distributors of the ball. Maybe Alisson canât be as creative and doesnât have as fancy footwork but the simplicity of his distribution could also be down to instructions and I think the âdonât piss about too much with the ball at your feetâ is an instruction I agree with.
The biggest issue with him is how many games he misses with injury probably good for a half dozen maybe more a season.
Ederson is just better. He looks far more comfortable with the ball and is even better than Ali at starting counters. Itâs that simple really, regardless of instruction.
Iâd still take Alisson every single time, but distribution wise itâs a no contest really.

Yeah I think Ederson is better on the ball. Stats or not. Seeing that assist to Gundogen (regardless of that centre backs fuck up) was unreal. Think he has more assists than Thiago and Wijnaldum this season. That says a lot.
Alisson is a better shot stopper though.
He may be a little off form decision wise but for me he is the best keeper in the league overall and what impresses me is how he just holds on to everything, yesterday a low shot was fizzed into him and there players were following in ready for a fumble, but he just hoovers them up nice and calm like ⌠wish the rest of his game was as calm!
Michael Owen has urged Klopp to stick with Alisson through thick and thin,amazing that Owen gets paid for being a pundit,little annoying cunt.
