Alisson BECKER: 2023/24

Don’t forget Saka - better than Mo!

I think this might be right in terms of value to their current team, but I dont think Rodri is as plug and play as Ali is. His value to Pep is in fitting so well what Pep needs from him and as good as he is dont think that necessarily transfers to other sides. Ali immediately makes every single side in the world better. While that is mostly a reflection on how different it is being a goalie, it is at least partly a reflection on how good he is at the job

Also, don’t forget that it’s dependent on City’s immunity to cards.

My Liverpool player of the season so far:

  1. van Dijk
  2. Alisson
  3. Alexander-Arnold
  4. Salah

All 4 would make it into the Top15 shortlist for POTS +

Rodri, Silva, Ruben Dias
Saliba, Rice
Son
Watkins + one more Villa player
Bowen
Hwang
Groß (or one of his teammates but one Brighton player surely deserves it)

My Top3 POTS so far

  1. van Dijk
  2. Rodri
  3. Alisson

Players who miss out on my Top15
Saka - has been shit for half of the season
Haaland - wasn’t good in many games + missed some games
Solanke - poor man’s Haaland

Fck… seeing his thread on the top scared the shit out of me.

Wrong thread, but this season is the worst (or least good) Dias I’ve seen in his City career so far. I think Carra touched on it a bit more in the last MNF.

Allison injured with hamstring probably miss cup final

He would anyhow.

Kelleher plays the league cup just have to hope Kelleher doesn’t (jinxed jinxed jinxed).

Bloody hell!!! Majority of our season’s under Klopp have been derailed by injuries. How much more unfortunate can it get for us?

Don’t say that

We need a break ffs.

For shits sake. Year of the hamstring.

No breaks, please, ligament and hamstring injuries are more than enough!

For fucks sake. Can we not catch a bit of luck?

Kelleher is an able deputy, but we lose a huge part of the team in Ali.

Technically the Brazilian manager said he wouldn’t call on him, I doubt think he said he would be out.

I do think league wise it’s beneficial to beat Soton just so we can get some players back.

Out till after the international break…not good.

Klopp has suggested that Alisson’s injury is more serious than first thought but that he expected him to play again this season. That second part frightens me. Once again, I hope we’ve used all the bad luck with injuries in this season, so we can be peaceful for the next, I don’t know, twenty years.

Where did you see that? If that’s true, I think everyone will be very glad we didn’t sell Kelleher.
