He does have a lot of miles in his legs, but yeah, it’s not like he’s 35. We’ll see what happens this season and next summer. I don’t think nothing is decided yet where he will be next season.
“I’m relaxed about the whole situation. If it is my last year, then it’s my last year. If it’s not, then so be it. I had a bit of a stressful summer in terms of decisions. I’ve said to myself to just try and enjoy the next few months and then obviously it will start probably taking over my life. That’s what happens when you go into your last six months.”
I need to start with a confession. Not many things bug me, but if there’s one thing that does, it’s the idea that my story is a football fairy tale. I know when people say I’m some sort of Cinderella Man that it’s meant as a compliment. I appreciate that, but to be totally honest, it doesn’t feel like one, because it isn’t true. No magic wands have been waved in my direction, I didn’t win some kind of lottery to land a spot on one of the biggest clubs in the world. The reason why I’m a Liverpool player is the same reason why I’m captain of my country: I’ve worked my bollocks off to get where I am, and by doing that, I’ve been able to make the most of whatever talent I have. Why does this matter? In truth, it doesn’t matter to me as an individual. It probably doesn’t matter to my family, either. It only matters because there are God knows how many little Andy Robertsons out there. Kids who are struggling to convince people that their talent deserves an opportunity. Kids who just need a break to get to wherever they deserve to be. Kids who might give up if they start believing that only a fairy tale can save them. I’ve never wanted to be a poster boy, but if I’m going to be a poster boy for anything, it should be this ― if you don’t give up, and if you carry on believing in yourself when others are doubting you, you can make it. You can show that you are good enough.’ Andy Robertson
Many lesser players would have wilted in the pressure of trying to fill those shoes. It took a real legend in the making to say “i’ll make those fans forget about Kev, better than Gerrard, Stewart”.
12 more caps to go before he catches King Kenny (though McGinn might also go past him), imagine telling Robbo that when he wasn’t sure how his career would go and if there would be one. Proud of him.

This team. These boys. My brothers. What a group to be part of. And with the gaffer, and all the staff - we’re a family
The team and the Tartan Army. We made Hampden shake and filled our wee nation with joy. Together.
If you could bottle a feeling, this would be right at the top of the list. A dream turned reality. I’m bursting with pride at what we achieved together for our country. We believed in ourselves and we done it!!
It’s an absolute privilege and honour to be captain of this group of incredible human beings, love every single one of them!
We’ll be coming alright. Canada, USA and Mexico, get ready… Scotland are on their way
Wonder what not only Robbo, but what Gio also thinks when they see Kerkez, apart from a few aspects of him. Whether their help will make significant a difference going forward, I’m not sure.
