Andy ROBERTSON: 2025/26

The best left back in the PL last season? That guy. Look at any transfer thread if that’s the issue and simply consider some of the names aren’t good enough.

See often people go off one game, this lad had a whole season of performances. I’ll give him a chance he’s played well at times but evidently has struggled as a whole but let’s be totally honest he’s not come into a well oiled organised side. If he was the issue alone then we would be very much leading this race.

Also the example of the throw in he gave away leading to Palace’s goal was fundamentally just football fans bring frankly delusional.

Anyhow it’s Robertson thread and he was getting similar pelts on here last season.

Kirkez also continues to get criticism for goals we conceded down our left in games where he’d already been subbed off

I think he’s trying hard. However there’s something I have noticed and don’t like, he doesn’t half complicate things at times by twisting his body into really, what seems to me, body shapes for what he’s trying to do.

Andy Robertson on contract talks:

"We’ll see what happens. We’ve had chats now which will remain private. I’ve spoken to them and we’ll see what happens. Would I like to stay? Yes, but it’s a difficult question to ask. I’ve got five months left and we need to see the option to stay or if there’s options to go and things like that.”

"I need to sit down with my family and decide.”

"My relationship with the people higher up in the club has always been excellent since the day I came in. Signing me for £8m and then doing what I have done helps that, which I remind people of all the time!”

Doubt Slot will want him to stay.

Andy Robertson on his playing time this season:

“I can focus on the last eight-and-a-half year.” “I think Jurgen Klopp left me out of one game and I was raging! I’m a player who wants to play.”

“I’ve played through injuries. I’ve played when I’m not 100 per cent fit. I’ve played when I’ve only been 50/40/30 per cent fit for this club and my country.”

“I always want to be on the grass and playing and obviously now that’s not happening, so that’s what is different. I do have a different role here this season, which I’m getting enjoyment out of, but at the end of the day, footballers want to play.”

“If anyone is happy sat on the bench, then they don’t belong at any football club. That’s always my argument: you should always want to push to be in the team.”

“If you’re happy to be sat on the bench, then I don’t think you have the right attitude.”

“I’ve played well in the games I’ve played this season. Maybe I’ve not played as much as I would have liked, but it’s nothing I’ve been surprised by. Let’s see what happens.”

I am gutted hearing that Robbo might leave in January.
I really hope Andy stays at LFC until at least the end of the season, so the Liverpool supporters can say thank you and goodbye to him

It will be really sad to see Robbo leave as he has been one of my faves, both on and off the field, infectious character both in personality and playing style.

Would prefer to see him leave in summer with a proper send off, but if it is what he wants then it is understandable.

Another unbelievable servant of our club.

Me too, I would love to see Robbo at the end of the season with a lovely send off from the fans.

I wish he was going to another club like Brentford or Fulham rather than Spurs.

Agreed, but want him to do well wherever he goes, apart from against us.
