What a servant! Best of luck Robbo. One of the best ever to play the position

I feel sadder about this one than Salah. It’s not unexpected, and his legs are getting old, but he always busts a gut every second that he is on the field.

Hopefully he has a few more seasons both in club and international football.

Gutted. Knew it was likely but I’ll miss him massively. Good luck Robbo.

Celtic maybe? Spurs were interested but maybe the slower paced league could give him another two/three years and a few more trophies (whilst getting his Champions League fix).

I think it will be Celtic. He never got the chance to play full time for them so a dream finish to his career hopefully.

I know Celtic has been mentioned a lot, but I don’t know if that is just wishful thinking. He was at a match a few months ago, but I think officially he was there as a guest of Oxlade-Chamberlain.

I wish him a few more wonderful years in Italy or Spain, etc. He can always return to Scotland later. In any case, I wish him all the very best. He will be missed.

He ended up playing his way from the bottom up. At first he was working in a Tesco and playing for Queens Park (the amateur club whose home ground was Hampden Park).

Oddly enough, his first league game was just down the road from me in Stenhousemuir (East Stirling were ground sharing at the time).

And the hits keep on coming

He and Van Dijk are the closest thing to a favourite that I have. It’s probably the best thing for all concerned but it doesn’t change the fact that we’ll be saying goodbye to one of the best LBs in the club’s history, a true Liverpool legend and an amazing human being.

More work to do in the tranfer window

One of the best signings ever made considering the outcome.

I am a bit sad about this one.

Losing Robbo and Mo in the same window is going to be a massive hit to the squad.
