Hope they did not fucked up the pitch …
The pitch was actually in relatively poor shape this past season.
Yeah I guess when the concerts period is over, they’ll solve that pitch issue. Also looks like the works on Annie Road are developing nicely. Can’t wait to see the final result of that, what will be our new Anfield for a good while in the future.
Yeah I was hoping they would use the international break to patch it up and then I saw the legends game.
It was last fully relayed back in 2017. It’ll probably need to see a few years yet, but its a million times better than the one it replaced, with all singing all dancing irrigation and tech.
Other than the usual roughness around the 6 yard box and around the corner flags, I thought it was mostly fine last season. Saying that, i didn’t make it to Anfield last season to see it in the flesh.
during our trip to England 3 years ago, we stayed with some of my wife’s friends who live in Whaley Bridge. they were at the Stones concert yesterday and said it was excellent.
During the Covid year, you can see odd discoloured rings around the pitch, but were not there during 2021-22 season. However, I noticed from TV that the pitch were very patchy in the 2nd half of the season. Below are some screenshots at the beginning of the match from 5-Mar-2022 vs West Ham (I also made some comments in the post match thread).
I’ve seen worse pitches at Anfield.
That pitch looks fine to me. What are they expecting to play on, a snooker table?
It was cutting up badly at points I think even Klopp referenced it as did one of the players. We did seem to play better on it after the break and some of it had been sorted maybe the break will help it this season in November/December.
Just saw Elton in Indy after a 3 year wait because of Covid and other postponements.
Even at his age he remains one of the great performers and completely worth seeing live even if you aren’t necessarily a huge fan of his music.
Similar to Rolling Stones concert, more YNWA!
Welcome to the Hotel California - The Eagles next week…
Parallel tours. Saw the Eagles 5 days before Elton John in Indy earlier this year. Would absolutely love to see either of them at Anfield.
Sheesh. So many people have been lucky enough to go to Anfield for these concerts and actually get to stand on the pitch.
Oh, and see some legends too
To see Mo dancing on Tiny Dancer.
Saw Elton’s Farewell Tour show at Hove Cricket Ground pre-pandemic - it was amazing.
…and this time, YNWA at the Eagles’ concert.
Must really piss off Evertonians in the crowd
