Anfield and Kirkby

Not sure why it’s not embedding over the vid, anyhow coming along nicely…props to the all the site & construction workers on their phenomenal prolonged work…might actually be able to get to more than 2 games next season without spending 4 hours a day for a whole week waiting for 1 to become available. :weary:

All four stands seem to have some renovations/developments.

:joy:

This should be gone when the redevelopment is completed, once the upper tier is removed and merged with the rest of the new stand. We’ll see if there will be more heavily restricted views after that.

I lived in Newcastle for a while before they put the roof on St James Park. I had a pal who lived in the flats at the back. You had a better view of hhe pitch than that seat.

Is that a pair of ladies underwear…looks like they’ve been there years!!!

Are you missing a pair then W8…? :0)

I had that seat once luckily enough a bloke 5 seats in front said he would swap to stand with his mate.

If anyone stands you ain’t seeing anything.

Nah, me cousin’s mate knew someone who did metalwork at school so I can confidently tell you that the stupid experts don’t have a clue and they are running at least 8 home games behind schedule.

Finally, this uncomfortable, unpractical little stand has passed away. RIP.

Very much looking forward to see the impact of the enhanced stand next season. The main stand had a massive impact after being terminated. Hopefully this one can provoke a similar boost, fingers crossed! :+1:

I wonder if it will still be as tightly packed in as before in terms of space. The lower tier remaining the same is it not?

I’ve never sat in the Anni Road End so didn’t experience it first hand, but think next season we will have a go of it to check the facilities etc.

They used a bloody crowbar in the final bits before removing/lifting the first half of the roof. Watched it last night, was hilarious.

:joy:

But yeah, it’s good to finally get rid of that horrible looking, partly cut out roof corner of the old ARE close to the Main Stand.

The lower tier will remain as it is, while the upper tier will connect with the new part above.

When does the lower tier date back to? I can remember some refurbishment in the 1980s when the away fans section swapped sides but has it been completely rebuilt since?

So you can actually see the whole pitch! Does that mean the season ticket prices will be going up?
