I will leave that here
Probably better than having the rainwater pour down upon your fanās heads, like at Old Crapford.
Hopefully we donāt have to do it every year.
Thatās logical enough. Letās first see how the tickets sell in the new manager era before envisaging a new expansion.
Cant ever imagine it not being sold out to be honest.
I canāt either, but in fsgās shoes, Iād surely wait too before thinking about a new expansion. After all, we havenāt even had a full season yet with the new stadium size.
Yep, makes senseā¦but itās not a done deal at this capacity. The club have been buying up properties as they become available around the Kop. Essentially they wonāt be doing an aggressive compulsory acquisition approach and will just keep taking up properties as they come upā¦i guess until such time that they (or any future owners) want to take action.
Yeah, I think with the main part with two stands (apart from the around Anfield part, which can still be developed with time) being accomplished, now it can be counter productive to start talking openly about future expansions, since thereās many hurdles to solve if there would be one.
So itās an expected answer and it doesnāt mean that something wonāt happen in the future.
Is further expansion possible? I read an article (long time ago) that said roads or housing make expansion very difficult (and costly) on the other sides.
I think that is why they are looking at buying housing as it becomes available. The Walton Breck Road, that runs behind the Kop, is a bit trickier as it is an arterial route. I suppose a tunnel couldnāt be built but thatās not a trivial big of engineering.
In Kloppās season it was very easy to get resell tickets, no chance nowadays it feels.
