Anfield and Kirkby

General question. What’s the best way via public transport tfrom Lime street station to Anfield (and back) during match days?

To be honest the match day buses are fine to get.

Liverpool FC officially confirm record-breaking numbers of Adidas launch

Story by Liam McPherson

Liverpool FC have officially confirmed that their new adidas home and away kits have shattered all previous sales records, marking the most successful launch in the club’s history.

In just one week, orders for both designs surged by over 700 percent compared to last season’s debut, with fans from 150 countries snapping up the latest Liver bird–inspired jerseys.

The overwhelming demand has been most visible online, where 80 percent of all purchases were made through Liverpool’s e-commerce platforms.

At Anfield, the club’s flagship store experienced its busiest week since reopening following a major refurbishment timed to coincide with the kit release.

Supporters can still secure their shirts via the official LFC online store, in international LFC retail outlets, and through the LFC Store app.

“The club also recorded 17 million engagements and 423 million impressions across its social channels for content solely related to the kit launch, making it the most-engaged Premier League kit launch for the 2025-26 season.”

“Summer signing Florian Wirtz is the No.1 best seller for name and number printed on newly purchased shirts during the past seven days.”

In what is a classy touch by Reds fans, the club also revealed that Diogo Jota’s Number 20 is the next bestseller:

“This is followed by fans who want to honour Diogo Jota by having ‘Diogo J. 20’ printed on the back of their shirts.”

“All profits from his name and number printing at official club stores, via our official online store and adidas online stores will go to LFC Foundation, the club’s official charity.”

“The Foundation has committed to creating a grassroots football programme in Diogo’s name.”

Although many reports have highlighted the widely quoted figure of £60 million per year, the true value of Liverpool’s partnership with adidas could far exceed these expectations, potentially worth way over £600m.

The Reds have signed with the German sportswear giant for 10 years.

Liverpool has also negotiated what industry insiders describe as “elite team” status with Adidas, placing them in the same tier as the likes of Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and Manchester United.

This classification brings access to exclusive product lines, premium marketing support, and enhanced revenue-sharing arrangements that could add millions to the annual value.

Pretty much the same thing. 60m is significantly lower than other clubs.

Same tier as United? Great negotiation there…
