Not if the egos of Edwards and Hughes satisfy.
We need to keep an open mind that from the outside world , the club is above everything. But, when it comes to humans, egos do take a place and I have a funny feeling that Alonso rejecting us the first time played a key role in this.
Thanks for #20 Arne, but itās clear he had to go.
Hopefully we wonāt follow the Chelsea model and go for a flavour of the month manager whoās over achieved at a small club.
Apologies, Iāve not read any of the posts in the last while as my son and I have been doing a little dance around the living room at the news.
However now that itās done I really do wish they could have had it sorted before the final game - if only to allow Slot to leave in front of the fans with a bit of grace. Iāve been adamant that Iāve wanted him gone but when I look back Iām sure Iāll be much happier remembering what he did for us last year instead of whatās happened since.
Yupā¦the way of how it worded seems that Slot wants to stay but the squad and the management didnāt buy his explanations in the end of season review!
Weāll appoint the biggest name willing to work with the āhead coachā model. Would love to think that there is some coincidence with the timing of this and the CL final tonight, but I canāt see it.
People who both want a return to āheavy metal footballā and are crying that we didnāt appoint Alonso clearly did not watch a single minute of his Leverkusen side.
