I completely agree and that includes large parts of the fanbase.

I feel if we get a manager that needs us to push the train, we are here for them. It could become a journey of adventure, trials and tribulation. Where do I get my ticket…
If Enrique lands, he lands with high expectancy. He also walks into Anfield with the been there, done it all before tee-shirt…
Whoever takes the reins, the new journey has just begun..

And me too! I thought we’d the transfer window of our lives. Forgot that all that spending shitliads of money on good players without really thinking about how they’d fit together that we’d take the piss out of Chelsea and United for, would also apply to us.

I am also beginning to wonder if Hughes had been seriously considering Iraola as the replacement much earlier in the season when everything began falling apart but Alonso was still at Real.

In such a situation, you might only switch to an Enrique if he were to become available, but not Alonso.

Stylistically Alonso is a lot closer to Slot than he is to Klopp, whereas with Iraola the reverse is true.

As I’ve said before, if the club wants a return to “heavy metal football” then Alonso was not going to provide that.

My expectation is he will never manage a big club again. A Brendan Rogers level career. Probably head back to Netherlands or a decent German side.

Very little to indicate he is a top tier manager. Tactically, developing players, managing egos or in the transfer market.

This last year will be a massive set back for him. Question marks will be on him where ever he goes.

So many have said so much. I’m lost. Who are you?

He had his massive bad season at one of the biggest clubs in the world and in probably the toughest league in the world where any team can beat any other team in their day.
He will now know exactly what NOT to do ahead of time.
It’s just that he’s gone down a certain path too far and lost too many hearts and minds to claw it back here.
He was heading towards a style of play that neither works for Liverpudlians nor in the PL.
Sometimes what you learn at a job, you can’t apply at that job, it’ll happen for him somewhere else, I’m sure.
The thing I don’t know if he’ll ever learn is to be warm with players.

OK. Ajax it is then.

Kinda doubt that Leverkusen will go for another bald Dutch guy from the PL anytime soon

My money is on Newcastle to be his next PL club. But yes Ajax or Bundesliga would make sense next.

I didn’t see that coming! I don’t like blame culture but someone had to carry the can for this season. Edwards and Hughes are lucky boys as they didn’t do anywhere near enough to help him out.

Thanks for number 20 Arne. Hoeness is the one for me
