Klopp as DOF is a waste of his talent. Heās a tactician and a motivator. Heās hands on. Heās not someone best suited to sitting in the background. And no top tier manager would want to come here to be in Jurgenās shadow.

It would be a bit weird for JĆ¼rgen to come with Edwards being his boss because I think if Iām not mistaken Edwards and Klopp fell out over power struggle at the club and that was the reason Edwards left the last time?

My feelings re: Klopp returning is total speculation on my part.
But I donāt think Edwards is staying, as I think he only took the gig because of the goal of overseeing a multiclub model - a goal which has been shelved for now. His contract is up in a year, and Iād be surprised if he renews.

FSG shitcanned the Red Sox coach on their Chief Baseball Officerās recommendation and they are far more in tune with that particular sport than football. So, I wouldnāt say that they donāt care about the clubās direction, but that they are simply doing what the DoF is telling them. Thatās where the problem and the worry lies.
Salah had to come out and publicly state that the standards are slipping with many squad members agreeing with his message. Jones also alluded to it earlier in the season. Itās clear that this isnāt the first time that it was brought up but more importantly, Hughes and/or Edwards can see for themselves what is happening on the pitch and in the training sessions and yet they still remain steadfast behind Slot.
