Ask yourself which of those players will (a) still be here next season, (b) will be fit and available for an acceptable amount of the season, and (c) you are confident will play to a good enough level when picked.
Add to that VVD will be on his last legs, Wirtz is clearly struggling to meet the demands of the PL, Jacquet is an unknown quantity and Leoni and Ekiteke could well both miss the first half of the season.

It is my belief that the fans are only just beginning to turn up the heat on Slot. The fact that a vast majority are turning on him with such venom⌠then there is no way back for this guyâŚever..!

Slotâs family are in the Netherlands, you donât think this is the part of the problem?
Slot is going back and forth to Holland. He doesnât have spare time to settle down properly in Liverpool or go on a night out with the players.
Klopp totally immersed himself in the culture of the city, local community, regularly visiting his local pub, being part of quiz night, Darts night etc. He also took the team out for meals so they could bond more.

Apparently he lives in Cheshire, not far from Manchester Airport.
This is probably the furthest away one of our managers has lived. Klopp and Rodgers both lived in Formby, Dalglish just further up in Southport, Rafa was on the Wirral, and Houllier next to Sefton Park.
It does seem to sound like a temporary arrangement.
