Arne Slot - Head Coach (Part 2)

It was rumoured Gakpo wouldn’t even pass the salt to Kerkez

I believe the picture was taken at Mo’s and Robbo’s farewell dinner a few days ago.

And yes, some players are apparently together in Monaco; there are various reports. But it’s certainly not their fault that they have days off, or that the standards have dropped, etc.

Could you all please stop constantly blaming the players for this?

If this trip to Monte Carlo is genuine? And the players haven’t gone there for the casinos or sun bathing.

Then is there a possibility a certain American is currently on a super yatch out in the med somewhere? And has called a team meeting prior to Anfield on Sunday.

Salah has been showing pics of him training alone for a while now. So is that last pic of the grass and best foot forward actually taken today of him at the training ground?

Also, is it definitely Curtis Jones confirmed being there with him from the senior pro’s?

Reading between the lines and making up my own bullshit, but that could even be an indicator of those 2 not invited to the meeting and now both are on the move out this summer?

If that was the case, then I wouldn’t be surprised if both are benched against Brentford and some of the youngster midfielders start the match instead.

You’d think he’d know – his great love played just round the corner from him in Zwolle today; at Feyenoord, they still reckon he’s got what it takes, and he can play the popular guy.

I’m 100s of post behind so maybe this has been posted but look at this familiar failing from his Feyenoord side. Important context for those who keep insisting the problem is the profile of the players ducking our pressing (despite them all having done it well in the past)

SlotOut @LFC_zeroooos - LMFAO

Is there any further analysis from a twitter account that isn’t in any way biased, at least more than 30 seconds worth anyway? And preferably with an onside striker ending the clip with a shot on target?

I’ll bow down and hold my hands up if a bunch or YouTube clips start to fire in my direction

The tactical analysis is from a different account, and from before Slot had managed a single game for us. The relevance is the same defenses failings we see every week we’re be8ng raised by this guy about Slot’s out of possession issues while still in holland

One thing with Iraola, he has managed in adversity and come through bad spells, i.e losing his 1st 6 at Bournemouth and winless in 9 and ended up a respectable 12th place.

But still a big step up.

If an amateur could spot these failings, why didn’t Hughes? And what was in that 60-page dossier that was so compelling about Slot?

The more it’s being probed into, the worse this hiring seems.

It’s like they’re trolling us. They have one more week of work then can go on their hols

On the odd occasion, I have seen Liverpool under Klopp get cut open just the same, but under Arne, I feel it happens many times in many games.

If somehow Iraola’s team can get champions league in our place despite his team being gutted all season long, he deserves a chance at the big gig…

The worst thing is when you see the passing maps and all our players are congested in the middle of the pitch yet every team waltzes through us multiple times a game with no problem.

It is a passing map and we only have that many in midfield, holding hands, when we have the ball.

When we don’t have the ball it is as if a black hole appears and they suddenly disappear or when they are there they are running in treacle.

As a few of us have said it isn’t the press from our forwards that is the issue, it is what is happening behind them and is a system problem, i.e Arne’s coaching.

From this there is no clear identity what to do defensively and our coaches have almost a full week to develop a plan and get it completely wrong.

Like the guy at Stuttgart. I’d rather we go that route to be honest. I would assume a fair few on here would give Slot more time if he had shown signs of improving. I was open to it up to the international break.

I would certainly give the new guy enough time to show, I know some were getting at Klopp after that first season and some on here who have migrated but I saw what he wanted to do and he slowly built it.

I can’t get behind someone who talks up a transfer window to change literally everything and someone who talks up 2 goals against Villa in a 4-2 defeat.

That’s Rodgers and Hodgson combined.

Evey week seems to bring another red flag with it.
