Nagelsmann will be at the World Cup with the national team until July. Makes no sense at all. Our preseason has to be perfect.

Get the situation with Wirtz right and everything will be rosy. So what inevitably will happen is they will use their off time to game plan together for next season and end up having a massive fall out when Nagelsmann decides he cannot use Wirtz and Musiala together and so drops Wirtz - our sason is fucked before its even August

I’m being slightly influenced by knowing someone who did some work with the PGMOL recently and during that hearing about how great a man-manager Iraola is known to be within the game.

I’ve already said that, if Slot gets fired now, Liverpool’s next manager/head coach will be one without any trophy-winning experience. That said, that guy has to be a good one - and Iraola fits the bill on a lot of accounts, aside from the trophy-winning experience.

I was genuinely saddened when I heard Man United wanted to sign him because I rated him highly - and this “rejuvenation” of the side is probably in line with signing a manager who wants to play front-foot, high-pressing football. He had wobbles at Bournemouth but I think stats tell the story of a really progressive coach.

The fact that he has had wobbles at Bournemouth, and came out of them so impressively, is what would make me very confident if he was appointed as our next coach. He has obviously a lot of resilience in himself, and is able to transmit it to his players. And he’s obviously able to learn from possible mistakes, or to right the ship when necessary.
