My take on the muted goal celebrations is that there were too many agendas unfolding on the final day, so it was all over the place. Get a result. Qualify for CL. Give some legends a proper farewell. But then Jones is clearly not a fan of Slot so there are interpersonal issues with the manager. And perhaps the bulk of the match going fans want a reset, but didnāt go for booing this time because theyāve already made their feelings known, and the final day arguably didnāt need any more of that.
So all in all it was a strange one. Nobody quite knew exactly how to behave, as there were so many different undercurrents around the game.
Bailey not only manages to contradict himself several times, but he doesnāt even get the numbers of seasons under Slot right. The next one is going to be the third, not the second.
Itās nonsense really, just another piece of ājournalismā meant to attract clicks.
