Arne Slot - Head Coach

We made a lot of changes in the summer to what was already a very good, even excellent side. To many it seemed unnecessary in the amount we did for as good as we already were. More disruptive than additive. A big key to their response to this form will be knowledge of what Hughes and Slot thinking was in doing that much at once. I still don’t get it and don’t think you get to ask to for time for a new side to gel when it was your choice to dismantle a title winning side. But if there was knowledge of blinking warning signs they needed to address quickly and with that came a preemptive understanding the transition would not be seamless then I’d expect Edwards and FSG to back Hughes and Slot for a long way…because make no mistake there is a way this plays out that the “WTF did you did” falls on Hughes as much as Slot

Leaning towards no mainly because patience can be lost so quickly - especially when they see no willingness to change, managers losing their jobs more frequently nowadays than ever before and the fact we’ve just spent £450m and gone backwards, not only backwards, but into the abyss.

They were in charge 3 months then sacked Hodgson, pulled the bullet on Kenny sharpish only one they hung around on was Rodgers he should have gone that summer.

The upcoming fixtures are worry. Losing one player per game through injury is an even bigger now.

If we get a new manager and he wins the league with that team, will he have only won it with Slot’s team?
Sorry, I’ll see myself out.

Even that was less about keeping faith in Rodgers and more about thinking they just needed to give Klopp more time on his sabbatical and they’d ultimately be able to convince him once he was ready to get back into it

Three months was evidently far too long for him to stick around and then they made an appointment they weren’t sure of only to then sack him and bring a guy in they held on to for far too long.

Owners remove managers days after they take over, they gave him 3 months of football ten times worse than what we currently see.

He didn’t deserve another day let alone 3 months, so yes they kept him far too fucking long. React to someone else’s posts I’ve had enough.

That’s a problem to solve next year.

FSG should be looking at the whole transfers in set up,

Not just at Slott

it looks like a right fuck up has been made,

No defensive midfielder,

another CB would have been great,

a LW, Gapko is very inconistant

but we have 2 very expensive strikers!

Not Slot out just yet but once the league was won last season, we went on holiday and still haven’t come back. Felt unprofessional to me at the time but hey ho.

Anyway, we’re up shit creek now and he needs to try something different. The current tactics and use of subs is really quite novice.

Due dilligence though, who would actually come in if such a thing happens?

We didn’t need a LW we had one under contract who we decided to sell.

we needed to buy a replacement after we decided to sell him

No we don’t we got told Chiesa and Rio were upto the job.

100%. After Diaz left a replacement should have been a bigger priority than Isak.

There was absolutely no need for Diaz to leave this summer.

same could be said of Newcastle and Izak

look what happened there

This has cropped up before buts its totally different. Isak burnt all bridges. Diaz didn’t trained went on tour played in friendlies. The agenda it might become toxic has been pushed with zero evidence.

Right in the middle of that nine months, he won the fucking league.

My only reasoning is…Klopps name has been mentioned alot just lately…and he has said he would manage again…could it be JK/AS team

I’d argue we won that in the first 6 months. It was pretty clear to see we were running away with it by Jan, go back and see the comments.

In the last 9 months we’ve pissed up a cup final, lost to a team that are now 22nd in league 1, outclassed in the CL, pissed up the win at Goodison, pissed up the win at Villa park, made to look like amateurs at Fulham and we didn’t win a single 1 of the 4 games we played in May.

& that’s even before you get into any of the shit we’ve witnessed this season.
