It seems to be your favourite card the week Ive been on here.

You’ve been a member here for three days, and in that time I haven’t mentioned Jota once until now.

So what the fuck are you talking about.

Also don’t you think you are being a bit bold in throwing your weight around for someone who has been here a couple of days.

Who is pretending this form isn’t concerning?

We got beat by Villa 7-2, other games showed we were hardly the machine of the previous season.

The poor run started on Boxing Day, it was a month before Klopp had to rely on playing Hendo at CB.

Ok so what about people who making arguments without being dicks about it all? Can we maybe separate out the validity of those arguments from the dislike of the tone of arguments others are making?

What has come across these last two match days you come across a bit of bully when you get called out for aspects of your posts. You have been very dismissive of Germanred, Limmescouse, jaffod and myself.

I generally don’t have a problem with them. If that wasn’t already clear.

We were already playing Fabinho there Matip got ruled out for the season in mid Jan its why we signed Kabak and Davies on loan.

I remember that I was AH Marks at the time HSE clamped down on a lot of activities we did too.

Of the three posters you’ve named there, I generally like all three, although Jaffod winds me up in the politics thread :joy:. I don’t have any issue with any of them in the footy discussions.

Maybe hang around a bit longer and get yourself a bigger data set to work from before you go round calling people bullies?

The really wretched run of form started around new year with a home defeat to Burnley that ended a long home streak.

We signed Kabak in relation to Matip going down, there was no movement prior to that, we also tried to sign Botman wasn’t it?

Davies who knows when that decision was made though the fact he hardly ever played means he doesn’t much matter.

I do remember the period as there was fuck all else to do.

Depressing

:speaking_head: Arne Slot:

“There are multiple reasons we have lost so many games but with all the reasons still are no excuses to lose so many but it hasn’t been helpful that all the games we lost there were only two days in between the games we had to play away from home.”

Not a good look at all after spending so much money, I’m afraid…

I think a point or less in those 2 league matches will see them shelve all contract extensions talks with Slot… That is literally the bare minimum now…

Completely disagree and a major over reaction, we have 5 injuries and you want us to play our best players again.

They get a rest Arne gets extra time to work on things.

Oh btw Villa are a good team and didn’t play, makes perfect sense to forfeit today to have a better chance of winning on Saturday!!!

Just want to say I am 100% on the Arne Slot bus. He won the Prem and the new season is only a quarter of the way through.

Granted we are in a bit of a pickle, and there’s work to do, but I’m backing Slot to turn it around.

I think he wants to get going with his new attacking breed, but he hasn’t been able to unleash it all yet, and the balance of the side isn’t quite right. I suspect he is caught between two stools but he will grab hold of the future as soon as he is able.

Some of the quotes aren’t very smooth, but I think a bit of that is cultural. The Dutch say whatever the heck they are thinking, and there’s usually not a lot of guile there.

Things are going to turn around. We are walking through a storm right now. A golden sky is on the way. Time to back the manager. He will turn it around.

Also, If we don’t win this weekend then I will understand the angst if we do then it will be a master stroke.

I’m not calling for Slot to get the sack, to be abundantly clear. I agree that he deserves some time to figure it out.

But I’m trying to be realistic. FSG just made a massive, unprecedented investment this summer. Of course, it’s reasonable to expect that things will be a bit rocky as everyone settles in. But will they tolerate this kind of form after the money they spent this summer? After the contracts that were given to Salah and Van Dijk? I’m not so convinced.

I recall Klopp completely remaking our midfield one summer without this kind of drop in form. So, it’s possible to have a significant shift without this kind of collapse.

And it could look especially ugly with some of our upcoming matches.

So, I hope that by the time we reach the next international break, we’ve seen signs of improvement. Because absent that…Slot might be in a very precarious position.
