I have been saying the same, but I just don’t see any signs at all of recovery. One or two more losses in the next couple of games and I think he’s gone.
It’s post like yours that kept me visiting and posting so far, mate, and not taking a break earlier. Not posting the goodbye for attention though, I really can’t handle the added frustration and certain attitudes here at the moment.
Taking a break, no idea how long. And when I consider that it might be less crazy for my taste here, I’ll test the waters for a while before posting, just to make sure…
Thanks, Maria, and I’d love to. I don’t mind differences of opinion at all, I hope my time here shows that. It’s attitudes that I mind, and some people thinking they have a clue what’s going on.
The added frustration to what’s already frustrating enough on its own, and everyone not sticking together, that’s what I mind.
Will miss your posts, that’s for sure.
Yeah if it was Grav dropping in for Konate with someone else taking his spot in midfield you can at least see it as a continuation of the plan but with an attempt to address the limitation of Ibou having so much possession at the back. Instead it’s just a mad roll of the dice
This is supposed to be fun. For most of us it is far less fun when we’re bad. Do what gives you enjoyment and if we don’t see you for a bit we’ll see you on the other side, whenever that is
Followed by essentially the same approach the next match. I’d be far more supportive if I could discern his efforts to adjust week to week, even if he was not trying to make adjustments in-match. It is the ‘lather, rinse, repeat’ aspect that has me at the end of my tether. I don’t pretend to have a profound tactical understanding, but I enjoy observing and thinking about footy tactics - so many of the problems we are seeing are so obvious, Slot cannot possible be unaware of them.
We know we will all stick together…we all feel shit at the moment…we all want LFC to get back to our winning ways…but when we know not…lets all stay here…keep each other company thru’ these turbulent times.
Maybe, but it also reminds me of the time when Houllier claimed the 2005 Champions League win because Rafa won it with Houllier’s team
No man is an island, much less a football manager, and Slot has spoken well about the good inheritance he received from Klopp. Still, Slot was the Premier League winning manager last season and he gets the credit for that.
I don’t want to to be the club where the manager wins the league, has to bed in bed in seven new players, then has to deal with picking up the squad after a team mate gets killed, and then gets sacked when the team go through a predictable spell of poor form.
He won’t be sacked, he shouldn’t be sacked and anyone expecting him to be sacked should remember the club they support.
