Which is part of the discussion whether we agree or not. It’s part of being involved in a disparate group, oppositional viewpoints and all.
I’m at a crossroads with the season…let him rebuild, reshape, restructure or whatever. But only if we TRUST he gets it right next season.
From memory Klopp was on his sabbatical? at the time, in demand, BR was full of it unpopular and results were shite for a while. Defo change needed.
No brainer sack and get Klopp.
IMO don’t pull the trigger right now.

Rodger’s was sacked after a mediocre 0-0 draw at Goodison Park. There were more dreadful spells of form to pull the trigger if it was ever a simple reaction to his performance.
I think they were waiting for Klopp to give them the nod. They would have bulleted Brendan in the summer had Jurgen been up for it then. They would have waited longer than they did had he needed more time on sabbatical.
It was never about sacking Rodgers. It was all about getting Klopp.
Klopp got way worse teams than ours right now to finals. Klopp had way worse teams playing better football than this. Klopp won the UCL before the league win. He also never, ever got the war chest Slot had got and had to deal with the likes of Ben Davies being bought for him during a defensive injury crisis so stuck with Williams and Phillips at cb to get us 3rd.
What I want Arne to do on reflection is start playing players in their positions. No more of this silliness if you need a CB on then Gomez (if he isn’t fit seek one in the u21s, even consider Robertson) Grav is your cover and so is pointless removing him from the CM. At right back Ramsey if he is fit.
Utilise the bench they haven’t let anyone down because they haven’t played. Let’s get basic tactics right. Say the first 30 was good yesterday then build on that. Why did the other 60 happen, it was at home, you have an excuse away but this has to be the low point otherwise my opinion that he has to go stands.
The next 8-10 games are the easiest he will get and it’s started losing 3-0 at home to a Sean Dyche team, I’d wonder how many times Sean Dyche has won away by 3 goals in the PL. I’d say it’s lower than 10.
I remember that it didn’t take long before the main candidates were Klopp and Ancelotti. Of course, helped by the fact that they were free at the time.
But had Klopp stayed at Dortmund, Rodgers would probably have been sacked sooner. He was out of his depth and embarrassing himself in his interviews.
It would have been a mistake to stick with him out of loyalty or because it’s the ‘Liverpool way’. He was shite.
Liverpool’s most successful period was under Paisley. Shankly was banned from the training ground and Paisley famously wasn’t squeamish about binning off former greats. The Liverpool way is not about being charitable to underperforming has beens.
There was growing discussion about Rodgers’ job being at risk throughout the 14-15 season. The form was a huge disappointment, whatever charm he had previously had was replaced by a confrontational sourpus, and with the Raheem thing bubbling up it was obvious the players were seeing it too. With the season ending the way it did against Stoke, and with Carlo and Klopp both becoming available that summer, there was a genuine degree of surprise that he made to the start of the next season.
