Maybe your feelings. And that’s ok.
But let’s not pretend its anything else because there’s nothing objective to support them

I thought our press was pretty good and more often than not the coughed up the ball. Once we had it though we seem to camp in their third and wait for the magic to happen, with an attitude of they’re bound to let it in, eventually.
Not quite. We did press with more than the front two, but staggered.
But it had leakages. However I didn’t think that was the main issue.
Was more the turnovers…
I saw, especiallin the 1st 10 minutes, Wirtz and Gakpo covering too much ground, Szob did try and help but not near enough how do you stagger a press, you have to commit to it as a team or at least force them in a direction to cut out passing lanes?
Rewatch the 1st 10 minutes
Felt the press got better as we got into the match. After the subs, it was gone.
And the remaining 84mins ?
We still didn’t press well we dropped for more of a mid block until the 2nd half, when we had to.
No question about that.
We’re also choosing not to press high aggressively and using more often the mid block
It feels that the more removed the team is from Klopp’s principles, the worse it gets. In Slot’s first months, he didn’t appear to make substantial changes, just tweaks here and there that worked beautifully. Once he started to assert his influence more, performances started to decline to the point where they’ve become fully problematic.
This sounds like he’s saying he’s had to adapt his game plan because his forwards don’t defend
Arne Slot: “I didn’t change as a manager, I would love to play with eight attackers if that’s possible defensively but if those eight attackers don’t defend enough, it’s hard to win a game of football.”
Can’t be picking Gakpo every week and have said that with a straight face surely.
And what are the Klopp principles that we’ve departed from?
We have to stay the team nobody wants to play against
Jürgen Klopp
It’s been like that in my mind ever since the Frankfurt game. I don’t see any signs of positive changes. That ultimately falls to coach, even though there are times when I’d sack the majority of playing staff before him. This is not one of those times.
Out of interest, since you’re an avid follower of stats, is there a particular coach that you think would be a good fit for our current set of players?
Well, there’s the performance of the team, there’s senior figures publicly criticising management and there’s the body language of the players. Apart from that, nothing to suggest that anything’s amiss.

How did you analyze body language
![]()
you look at it, its an ancient form of communication, judging peoples mood by body language.
you can question his interpretation, but laughing at someone reading body language isnt adding anything.
We all do it every day. It’s generally accepted among communications experts that non-verbal communication makes up over 50% of all communication.
Yeah..Probably had some algorithms to support the analysis
