Any decent coach would have won the League last season with us. Alonso would have as well.
I said elsewhere if it actually matters then they will punt him before the Easter games with that break, same with Rodgers but I don’t think they care and feel like they want to give him the season, sadly this was probably our most winnable game left.

Not sure if he will make it to Wednesday and what will happen against Galatasaray but I can’t see us beat Brighton and we will be looking for a new manager during the international break.

Slot was brilliant last season. You can argue anything you want when it’s totally un-disproveable.

Quite probably because there was no other team in any sort of form, similar to how easy Arsenal are having it this season.
However it still doesn’t change the fact that he was the manager who won it. I want him gone. I can’t stand the majority of the football we’ve been playing since the early months of 2025 but that doesn’t make me forget the feeling I had after this exact same fixture last season.
So, no, I don’t want to be disrespectful to Slot. I just wish he would stop making it increasingly difficult to respect him as a coach.

Anyone who was paying attention could see Slot was done very early on in the season. Not once has he ever looked capable of turning a bad situation around.
Every day we wait is a day too long.
He wasn’t; he was just as bad in his handling of the squad, rotation, substitutions, etc. That was criticized, too. Most people just tolerated it as long as we (often quite lucky) got points. But that’s over now, and everyone realizes that the emperor has no clothes.
If they want rid it would be my thinking and I raised it after Tuesdays game and got shot down by one of the abusive lot who have “joined” recently.
Though I do hope a decision is made either way, stick til the summer or change in 2 weeks.
At this point Rob Page in the U21s would be an option, it’s got that bad. At least his team looks like it’s got a head for attacking.

I think the mockery in Man Utd was this idea that after every win it felt like they had turned the corner… for 14 years.
It’s been 10 months or so for us.
Slot won the league and that is etched in the history books.
With all that has gone wrong, and it has been listed out many times, Slot should still be getting much more from his players.
It’s all just so flat. Tactically, mentally. It has been going on for a long time and it is sucking the life out of us.
It is very clear he is going to be sacked, or mutually consented, however the PR might spin.
All that remains to be seen is when. Summer? Or while this season is still playing out?
And then related to that, who will the new manager be? And will there be an interim before the summer?
