Arne Slot - Head Coach

We will probably now get a very lucky win against Gala and Slots job will be save again. I have given up already.

That’s why I said I hope a decision is made. And they sort of make it clear then we can decide whether to bother.

And we, the fans are the only ones who seem to give a fuck…

Nope.

I mean, not unless our players all of a sudden forgot how to football.

We are not that.

Not yet, anyway…

:face_blowing_a_kiss:

Totally natural given the circumstances.

The acoustics in here are amazing.

That echo…

It’s looking like last season’s title was Klopp’s parting gift. Slot inherited an excellent squad, that was fine tuned and supremely fit. We got lucky that those first months were sufficient to secure a big lead, before Slot’s work started to take effect.

What we’ve been watching for a calendar year is a more accurate reflection of Slot’s ability.

We won’t, Livvy. Galatasaray are an average CL side but they are playing for their coach and their team. This Liverpool side is as disjointed as the one that finished 2014/15 under Rodgers.

I’m honestly telling you, I predicted 1:1 this morning when I exchanged messages with my LFC-supporting friends. I partially said it in jest because of everything Tottenham were going through but what I’ve been seeing in the past few weeks suggested nothing that would dissuade me from expecting a win. We’re on a downward spiral and something big will have to change for the team to break out of it - it’s always the coach who pays the price, though, everything starts with him.

To be honest the rot started second half of last season. Were it not for Arsenal and Citeh having a mare and our excellent start we wouldn’t have won it. We were going downhill from Feb. Sadly the changes over the summer have not improved us and we now struggle against cannon fodder. I expect Slot to be gone well before the end of the season.

My brother-in-law (a massive Liverpool fan) called me around 8th minute while he was rushing home to watch the game and asked me to retell him everything that had been going on in the game. I told him that you could make one of those funny “cursed football” compilations with Benny Hill music in the background - and only eight minutes had passed! After what happened to Jota, God rest his soul, I’m trying to not utter the word “tragedy” or “tragic” lightly but what this team is serving up to us on a weekly basis is the opposite of “comedy”. Something big has to change to get us out of this.

Yes, he was. And it’s silly to suggest otherwise. You do not spawn your way to a league title.

What I think Slot did exceptionally well last season was that he was tactically the sharpest in the league. He knew exactly what was happening before anyone else, and his half times were brilliant.

That looks gone now and he seems absolutely lost in games.

If we part company with him, we can accept that it’s the right decision while also acknowledging that his league winning season was really good.
