the above
poll. but lets see how it pans out
Szoboszlai’s interview after the game was painful.
It was almost a plea for someone to rescue either us or him from this mess.
This is grim for us, but whilst @GermanRed somewhat in his pomp offering an unanswerable question in a poll, nothing is likely going to change anytime soon.
They have forecasts for PnL, league placings, projected over the next 3 seasons. I bet theyre still thinking they are on course and didnt expect us to be title competitive again for +2 seasons. It’s just a bottom line for them. Provided there is not a fan melt down, I expect FSG to still stick to their rebuild plan.
There isnt really anyone else available and to be sure they have already spoken with Alonso.
This looks set to grind on.
Also likely, this incapable manager is going to get us tanked at Old Trafford in May. All earlier thrashings we’ve dished out will be undone.
I see this often mentioned by Slot, journalists and fans in general and it mystifies me. Why was there a need for a rebuild? Klopp put together a brand new midfield, the team won a title last season, what was the point of a rebuild?
2 years into Slot and our game plan is give it to the 17 year old and pray.
I had a good answer from @Limiescouse last week to that. I agree, some older players were in need of refreshing, but also disaster struck, so we ended up having to make even more changes. I dont think the club assessed Slots ability to bring a team together, and this to me is the fly in the ointment here. He is uncharismatic and even seasoned pros are leaking dissent in the media, both Virgil and Szob, I bet Real are poised to swoop for Dom. All they’ll need to say is dont worry we’re never taking another full back from Liverpool.
Has he gone yet?
You dont give Mo, Virg and Alisson new contracts either if you’re having a rebuild. You bite the bullet and move them on.

Next week

Remember the last game, we actually played well in? It was the 5-1 win last season, against the pile of shite we drew with today. Even then we conceded first.
And they were probably better then.
We have played well in a few games since but they are usually followed by whatever that is for a week or nine.
Only question now is whether they’re worried enough about the implications of not making the CL to make the decision now or whether they’d rather live with that distinct possibility but make the decision in the summer.
Personally I can’t see them firing him with 8 games to go and an FA Cup quarter final to come unless we get absolutely humbled by Galatasary and the players start voicing some concerns publicly.
At this moment in time…who is available…if Slot goes…
He had big shoes to fill. He absolutely did.
But there’s little to nothing from Slot that shows me he gets or understands this club in any way. Setting us up to play like this isn’t acceptable. Waffling in his interviews and passing the buck isn’t acceptable.
We won the league last year because of Klopp, and in spite of Slot. Big Jurgen’s muscle memory is now in the past, Slot’s fingerprints are now all over this team, and we’re seeing the results of that - we could even see it last year when w stumbled over the finish line, and we laughed it off saying the lads were already on the beach.
Doesn’t quite make for poetic reading does it.
On ‘boos from Liverpool fans’ : “I think and expect that it was aimed towards the team which I can completely understand. If you can’t feel the frustration after dropping points at home against Tottenham, who are on a poor run of form.”
those boos were aimed at you as well Arne, you’re not blameless in all this mess
I didn’t hear any booing and fans shouldn’t boo any player in a Liverpool shirt. Go and support the blueshite if that’s what you do.
