Hope is a fickle bastard but hard not to think that maybe, just maybe the penny has dropped. The lads can do this week in, week out. The quality is there. After saying I’m not arsed about it before the game I, personally, became surprised and then taken in by the performance and bless my gullible socks, am hoping that we can blast through the remaining two months in the same vein. I’ll happily see him here next season if that’s the Liverpool we see because that’s what we are.
For the love of God, please don’t let us go back to type (the past 12 months) against Brighton. Don’t think I’d be able to handle it and I dont really want to bring up the hot girl analogy again.

Galatasaray were Frankfurt levels poor and we all know what happened after Frankfurt. We all remember what happened after Madrid and Marseille. We’ve been here before where we’d hoped the turning point had come, only to fall back in our amateurish ways.
The next 3 games will really tell us what last night’s game meant.

Regardless of what Gala are or are not, play like last night even for 50-60 minutes we would probably be in a similar place to Man City if not better.
In fact Man City only beat them 2-0 at home in a period of form. I did suggest caution about chucking the baby out with the bath water. These players didn’t become shit overnight they’ve all bar one of two been well below. Maybe Anfield woke them all up with the boos. They may not have liked it but they deserved it.

That’s why I made my pre match Gala comment to cheer up this is Europe at Anfield where we often play our best despite Spurs debacle.
Yes we have been pretty awful after some strong Euro results. Ironically the opposite happened after the PSV result - we went on a winning streak after TAN meltdown.
The ups and downs. Therefore it’s a miracle if we beat Brighton.
