To be fair, Arbeloa probably doesn’t think that, but his job at Real above everything else is to not upset the primadonnas who really run the show there.

Clueless.
Get him gone
I really can’t see that being true.
That is a bit rough on a 17yo kid when none of our senior pros have done any more this season.
I could have posted a quote from Klopp. He behaved in the same way, but I deliberately avoided it because I already knew some of the responses. Now it’s being questioned whether he thinks that way, but frankly, I also find it doubtful to assume that he doesn’t.
That’s not what this post is about at all. I thought that would be obvious. No matter what pressure he is under.
Wouldn’t surprise me. Slot seems to make kneejerk reactions when it comes to our academy players from which there is seemingly no return.
Quansah struggled in the first 45 minutes of last season. Slot wrote him off. Elliott couldn’t usurp Salah. Bin him. Now Ngumoha struggles against the European Champions. Not ready. Farm him out.
Can’t wait for Arne to go.
There is a big difference in Klopp and Arbeloa.
Klopp would front mistakes that were clearly not his, and he would do so to take the blame off his players. Partly because that’s just him. And partly because he knew the fans would never turn on him.
Arbeloa wouldn’t dare call out his players because that club is run by the dressing room.
A big problem for Slot is that he feels under pressure, is fully aware of the feeling against him, and he is in no position to be able to take one for his players. He has done this in the past though, when he’s felt more secure. At any point in his tenure, Klopp could go in front of the press and say ‘that one’s on me’, and then go into the dressing room and tell a few lads that he took one for them, but they had to do better. Slot just can’t do that at the minute.
But I agree, he really needs to stop going on about things out of his control - like injuries, decisions, bad luck - it just doesn’t help and it only sews that ‘hard luck, what can you do about it’ attitude through the team. I’m amazed someone hasn’t had a word about this already.
We are at that point where anything Arne does it criticised. Quotes attributed to James Pearce by random X accounts…well fuck it lets use that to beat slot down with, meanwhile James Pearce hasnt said that…
People need to be ready for Slot being in charge at the start of next season…
I can’t recall a single press conference where Slot even remotely hinted at being at fault. And I think I’ve seen them all. It was always a player who was brought up, or one of various other fabricated excuses. Klopp sometimes had excuses too, the wind, the pitch, etc., but never to this extent. And certainly not after such a big game. Given everything that’s been discussed so far, and the support Slot apparently has, he shouldn’t be reacting with insecurity. In my opinion, he isn’t; if anything, he’s suffering from complete overconfidence.
Good leadership is doing the right thing even when it is tough. Not only doing it when you are secure enough in your position to suffer the blow back, but throw the shit at your underlings the moment you feel pressure.
I’m sure we all understand WHY he is doing it. The point is in the level of dissatisfaction that comes from this being the level of leadership we have at the club now. And, not to be an “I told you so”, but this is why some of us started to raise concerns about the things he was saying in public back in September before the wheels came off.
In other words…
“I told you so”…
Cut me some slack. Its heavy burden being right this consistently.
Afraid to say you’ve just been Papered
Are we sure that’s not the case here?

The football club or the forum?
They don’t even tag the right James Pearce. I’m guessing made up story for the clicks.
(Edit: Parody/Joke account)
Anfield Papers, blocked account. It’s been mentioned at least 5 million times on here tbf. It constantly uses fake quotes and makes things up. But you keep falling for it. ![]()
And the are related to the s*n, that alone should be reason enough to avoid them.
Edit
There is another account called Anfield Sektor, and this one is reliable. So please don’t confuse them.
It’s obviously bullshit, from a known click bait account with the track record of posting things that simply aren’t true, but I’ll be you that him wanting to send Ngumoha out on loan gets brought up over and over again over the summer.
But I agree, he really needs to stop going on about things out of his control - like injuries, decisions, bad luck - it just doesn’t help and it only sews that ‘hard luck, what can you do about it’ attitude through the team. I’m amazed someone hasn’t had a word about this already.
Been saying that all season. Constant self-fulfilling prophecy and you can see it player body language in many matches. Needs to take the Andy Farrell approach of embracing adversity. Fucking bring it on rather than feeling sorry for ourselves. Don’t give the players any excuses
