Arne Slot - Head Coach

Don’t know how Arsenal ended up in this thread, but for me at least, Rice would without much doubt start in our combined team. Going quickly through it in my mind, it would be more or less half-half. Two high quality sides that have been competitive and pushing City close or overtaking them (hopefully us again!). No need to underrate or overrate anyone that much.

Rice replaces who in our midfield 3 ?

Anyone, in any shape (obviously not Szobo directly, I’d have Odegaard there). For me it’s not only this season’s player forms that count when thinking of this.

None of them.
Rice at West Ham is a better player than Rice today. More effective.
No Arsenal player gets in our team.

Odegaard < Szoboszlai as well.

Would Rice and Gravy ever go together… Not so sure :0)

Or a wank?

Ödegaard since the injury has been shocking.

Rice since Ödegaards injury has also been shocking.

Hi Everyone,
Arne here. My mate Craig has lent me his account so I can have a word.
Wtf is all this Arsenal bollocks doing in my thread? I’ve been giving you thrilling examples of my tactical wizardry, and all you want to discuss is Declan fucking Rice?!
Give your collective heads a wobble as we say in Rotterdam, and don’t make me tell you twice!
Sort it!

Odegaard before his injury stats wise isn’t great.

That article is fucking weird.

We did exactly the same with Klopp. He got a short deal on modest terms, and then got the mega money when he’d proved himself.

Pointing at managers getting dropped in on five and six year deals? Yeah, cos that never goes badly for the clubs, does it?

Honestly, if a manager was looking for a big deal for six years, I’d swerve it straight away, because that suggests they are more interested in their payout than managing the team.

I think he will have served more touchline suspensions by the end of this season than Klopp in his whole Liverpool career - which included a pitch invasion against Everton. :joy:

I hope this doesn’t derail the season, though, Newcastle will be difficult regardless.

A fit Thiago would have been better than a fit gundogan. There’s no doubting that.

I do think there’s an element of overuse of Thiago though. We knew what we were getting into. Instead of maximising Thiago, we ended up (given his injury history) overusing him because the likes of Ox and Keita were done.

Thiago was a right transfer in principle. Just that we couldn’t use him quite right after the entire midfield tanked.

Would have loved seeing a fit Thiago alongside a Gravenberch in DM.

Just hours before the game as well. I’m assuming that he will have been given some warning over this. Has it confirmed what they actually said or did? I suspect that there is a serious double standard going on here.

I do think that Slot was well within his rights to mouth off that corrupt piece of shit Oliver.

Paisley always preferred watching the game from in the stands… might work better than we think as long as he can get in the dressing room at half-time.
Let the PGMOL throw everything they want at us… We got this

Slot just said he wasn’t proud of his reaction but I don’t think the conversation was revealed. Still, is it normal for the suspension to be issued on the day of the game?!

I’m sure that they did it with Klopp once.

It’s kind of galling that the only reason we got lumbered with that bent piece of shit is that Arsenal fans were making death threats against him so that he wouldn’t referee their game against City. PGMOL really shouldn’t go giving the lunatic fringe of fandom ideas like that.

Its not the worst timing…two home games. He will be in the stands, and in the dressing room at HT.

Just gotta get on with it.
