Arne Slot - Head Coach

Its a symbiotic relationship.
Klopp said so. So did Gerrard, Dalglish and any Anfield legend you care to mention.

The players respond to the crowd. The Barcelona comeback is testimony to that.

Recently the crowd has been giving it without the team responding. So they shut up. The team seem impuissant at times.
The final was an example, only got it together the last 10 mins.

It takes 2 to tango

Even so we are grinding out the results which at the end of the day is what counts most. Even if looking forward it might not be a bed of roses :rose:.

Last Sunday was actually really comfortable to be honest, as I said it was comparable to our nearest competitor in the league.

Salah’s first goes in and it’s probably 5-0. We had a brutal Feb into March. We’ve been recovering since. Our first half against West Ham was decent but we then played a poor second, last Sunday bar the finishing was fine.

The first half of the season was better than most recognise and we’ve kept up with performances over 45 mins until recently.

It is a bit similar to the last title win.

Anyhow our current tally is still better than 3 other PL seasons. One more win would take us over 7. If we get to 92pts then that would be the 7th highest. And if we won all remaining games then it’s the 4th highest.

You don’t get that based on being naff for a 3rd of a season.

Yeah, but it was dire. The worst football for over ten years!

That includes Rodgers last season for starters

I think it is a double-edged sword. Yes the players respond to the crowd, but the crowd also feed off the players as well. There have been plenty of times we’ve seen the crowd rather flat and players have not managed to lift the crowd.

Above the piece that you quoted, I said its a symbiotic relationship.

I used the Barcelona comeback game as an example of that.

We haven’t played Barcelona.
Under Slot we played Newcastle.

I’m not sure if you are trying to be stupid or actually just good at it.

And a jasmine rice, please. Ta.

An order of chicken satay too. And extra peanut sauce.

Then again 82 points was enough when he won is. Just glad he won one now in a way.

We all know the score. Jurgen’s legend is secure. He was absolutely brilliant for us. Desperately unlucky to coincide with a peak Man City side that was untroubled by the authorities for all their cheating. Otherwise Klopp wins much more silverware. A great man was robbed, as well as the club, the fans, and the wider game.

Klopp brought passion, an elite side, leadership, humor, steel, a common touch… the whole package. Every Liverpool fan was delighted with him, and rightly so.

All good things come to an end, and now it is Slot’s time.

A different man, a bit more understated, but very clearly a leader and a top footballing brain. He has come in, no fuss, tweaked what he inherited - a nice inheritance - and has only gone and won the Premier League at the first time of asking.

It’s brilliant. Well done Arne Slot. We are all with you and can’t wait to see how you shape your side moving forward.

It was commonly understood that the stress of trying to stay ahead of Jose’s Real emotionally broke Pep and ultimately led to him ultimately not only coming unstuck, but not being mount a response once he’d finally lost.

He didnt have the same dislike of Jurgen but you can almost certainly draw some parallels - the competition fueled him until he burned out and this season was the result.
