Quietly impressed with Odegaard from Arsenal. Never one I’d put on a possible buy list considering his history, but showing some good touches tonight.

Regardless of the outcome, I’ve been really impresssed with the effort from the players today. The desire and intensity are there where the weren’t in the first leg.

Love this boy’s potential but he seems very unsure of himself tonight.
Martinelli was feeling himself a bit going down the wing showboating on Trent. I’d like to see him humbled a bit.
EDIT: and for all the admiration Saka gets, he sure throws himself to the floor a lot.

He’s tidy and efficient, makes good runs, but is a limited player. He knows his job and does it well, personally like the lad and think he does alright, but I can understand where some get frustrated. Same sort of frustration that has been directed to a few of our midfielders over the years.

Fab’s strike just before half was absolutely ticketed for the back of the net if the arsenal player didn’t get that block in.
I’m more afraid of us fucking up than Arsenal doing something good on their own. Matip and Fabinho at times looked like they hadn’t kicked a ball before.
Not at our most convincing.

This is the thing Bags of potential, but too many people expecting too much from him too soon in my opinion. He’s done little of note in any senior match yet.
That doesn’t mean he won’t be a good player. Just doesn’t warrant the hype yet that seems to come every time he makes the team.
