The thing is many younger or foreign fans dont understand the context. Its just another site giving football news.
I understand the counter argument. But given the weight of that word (and emotional response it brings), I would rather keep it banned. Hopefully, people learn to use words like sunlight, sunshine, sunrise etc when they need to refer to our star
I am always bemused when I hear this because it is on sale at all newsagents and supermarkets by me including the nearby family newsagent where the owners are fans. They told me a few years ago that it was their second highest seller after the Daily Mail.
I think censoring the very word “s-un” is silly, but that is my opinion and other people have different opinions. It ought to be possible to talk about our star, and dare I say it, even possible to mention that rag in passing.
However, if the majority and the mods wants to censor such a word, it is not a hill I want to die on.
